See, this is how you demonstrate your pure BS. CA allows abortion in almost all cases. Please go away and figure out something meaningful to say.
You realize that you are qualifying your answer. I can probably list some reasonable regulations. 1.Sex selective abortion is now being restricted in China. Why not here? 2. Late term abortion after the baby is old enough to live outside the womb. 3. Cosmetic abortions for minor birth defects like a cleft palette.
A cleft palette is NOT a minor birth defect....I know of one ...the baby had a DOZEN operations before the age of TWO....this is NOT healthy for growing children... It is NOT "cosmetic" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOODGAWD...look something up BEFORE commenting!!
Sharon Osborne had 5 follow up cosmetic surgeries as part of a face-lift. Medical procedures do impart risk. Still beats dying.

WHAT TF does that have to do with the post of mine you quoted ??????????????????????????????????????????????????
Yours is a statement of ignorance, or dishonesty. CA only allows abortions after viability - 20 weeks - except in cases where the life of the mother is in danger. CA BANS abortion on demand after viability DEMOCRATS in CA enacted a BAN on abortions. DEMOCRATS.
There are real problems with all of these, as I'm sure you are aware. Plus, I don't believe for one second that if these were implemented it would cause the right wing to back off on the abortion issue.
CA law on abortion is FAR more accommodating of women's healthcare than the recent laws written in Texas and other right wing states. Texas women have to go out of state to get reasonable healthcare if there is a pregnancy involved. You repeatedly strive to imply that if abortion is restricted in ANY circumstance then it is the same for ALL circumstances. And, YOU know that is false.
Good of you to finally concede to an obvious truth . It negates your claim that restrictions/bans on abortion come from the far right. You cannot demonstrate this to be true.
CA bans abortion on demand after viability - 20 weeks. The Democrats enacted this ban. This negates your claim that restrictions/bans on abortion come from the far right.
Nonsense. The laws being implemented by the far right are seriously impacting women's healthcare. The are absolutely NOT limited to such issues as fully viable fetuses. Doctors are stating the problems they face with trying to give care under the laws of Texas (in the example I gave).
You said, "CA only allows abortions after viability - 20 weeks - except in cases where the life of the mother is in danger." CA does allow abortions before 20 weeks - I just pointed out that you needed a negative in there.
I changed my thought mid sentence "CA allows abortions after viability - 20 weeks - only in cases where the life of the mother is in danger."
And??? As I've pointed out, the fact that CA doesn't allow unlimited abortion doesn't prove anything. The issue today is that the laws written by Republicans are having serious impact on women's healthcare. As for the politics, I think you need to take a least some amount of care of the fact that the majority of Americans is in favor of abortion being legal in all or most circumstances. This had an impact on the midterm elections.
Simple: Democrats are guilty of, in your words, a travesty, and an assault on the healthcare of women.
Pay attention. CA bans abortion on demand after viability - 20 weeks. The Democrats enacted this ban. Democrats are guilty of, in your words, a travesty, and an assault on the healthcare of women.
Fact remains: Democrats are guilty of, in your words, a travesty, and an assault on the healthcare of women.
That is absolutely false. The laws you spoke of, the restrictions (restrictions, not bans) on abortion after the 20th week do not carry the kind of risk that restrictions throughout gestation carry. Plus, these new Republican laws make it especially vague as to what doctors are allowed to do. The result is that doctors have to back off perfectly valid treatments in order to stay away from healthcare that some prosecutor may attack them for giving.
You know your statement is not true. You know Democrats are guilty of, in your words, a travesty, and an assault on the healthcare of women.
