I think that the most accurate answer to the 5 questions you asked is: Some Jews were and some Jews were not. Jews who were active Bolsheviks/Communists, Jewish resistance fighters or those who showed support for the boycotting of Germany were far more likely to face persecution than the Jews who were Nazi Party members(1) or members of Hitler's military(2). Just as America interred Japanese-Americans in camps because they were perceived as threats to US security, I feel that the Germans felt the same way about many German Jews after "Judea" (aka world Jewry) declared war on Germany(3). Additionally, at one point, Jews comprised 52% of the Bolshevik/ Communist Party membership(4) and were also considered a threat to Germany for that reason.
