Besides, I bet most people form their political beliefs while they're young anyway, E.g. following their parent's/friend's political beliefs.

I'm am also not as stupid as you think I am, I won an Einstein Memorial science Award for my enthusiasm in science in middle school (Ceder heights junior high, 2008-2009) and I am really strong in debates, like I can stump my dad and my grandparents on homosexual marriage and other people when I argue against the legalization of marijuana. I also have a policy of listening and being fair to everyone I come across, as well as holding logic as an ideal and admitting I'm wrong when I think I'm wrong. I am a smart person.

The only legitimate criticism of my age is that my brain has a delayed response to my frontal lobe (responsible for decision making), this would mean fast decision making is weaker, like if I was suddenly offered a drug (I am anti-drug however). However I take my time on my beliefs, I (99% of the time) wait till every question is answered before deciding what my political beliefs are. Another legitimate criticism is my experience, which is the amount of knowledge I have on a subject. however I can still balance and weigh facts just like anyone else can, so this would make me weak to running into new information in arguments and debates. However when I do find new information I reconsider my beliefs.

So Your suggestion of staying back and listening to people is completely stupid, I'm only going to find new information by jumping in and challenging people on their beliefs (me being right or wrong), not by watching random replies and arguments that are unlikely to be as specific as I need it to be to find new and good information on subjects.

And if I were a defense minister in any country in the ME, I would hasten to acquire nuclear weapons as fast as possible to level the playing field. We all know ISrael is the biggest rogue in the region. It could use its nuke at any time. The only possible deterrent that any of those countries could have is having a nuke of their own and thereby ensuring Israel does not use its nukes any time it so pleases and saving millions of lives in the process. That would be a worthy goal don;t you think?

 

The question of what is ‘truth’ has bugged great thinkers and lesser souls for thousands of years. Philosophers such as Anselm, Aquinas, and Socrates to the more modern theoreticians like Gödel and Einstein all fretted over ‘what is truth‘. The truth is (no pun intended) that all individuals use some kind of authority to establish what reality is. We have to depend on something to describe define reality and its cousin ‘truth‘. Absolute truth is in the eye of the beholder IMO.

Some feel science is the best authority to describe truth others feel religion best describes truth. Neither can be proved not to be wrong or right if we get nit picky about it. I subscribe to religion, my belief that a creator exists, as my absolute authority, science is a distant second. I suspect God is amused as we rant and rave trying to describe the indescribable, and prove truth when real proof i.e. an accuracy of 100% sure of being correct, does not exist in this universe.

To sum up, I being a theist feel God is the only truth that is 100% accurate and that is only in his own realm. Oh what if we thiests and beleivers are wrong? A better question might be what if atheists and non-beleivers are wrong?

No one cares if the state of Israel contains Jews, Christians, Muslims or anyone else. All that matters is the actions of the state. Israel ios the biggest rogue in the state and has waged war against all its neighbors at some time or the other and continues its reign of terror and oppression on a daily basis . If Israel was really the rouge that is claimed by the usual suspects why haven’t they used their nukes? It would have made short work of their Arab problems during the war, IF they were as nutty as Iran’s government. Iran on is ruled by mixed nuts all religious all believing in their version of Armageddon. How would you like it if Pat Roberson was president of the USA and the 700 club was his cabinet? Iran is like that but Islamic instead of Christian! Yeah Ole pat with his finger on the button...scary eh?

All that aside, militarily speaking I doubt that having a nuke or a hundred nukes would help Iran if the Israel and the west wanted to retaliate etc. I will agree that it’s problem, and if I were Iran I probably would want one too. So human nature being what it is Iran probably will get the bomb as well as other rIslamic led countries. As a species we all will suffer accordingly. I would predict that a nuke will be used in a terror attack soon after Iran or another Islamic theocracy gets the bomb, not to mention them being used in conventional war*. Well there is one good thing about the sick nuclear proliferation coming down the pike.

I figure that she has changed enough diapers, and other giving mother stuff including unconditional love that she will never see the inside of a nursing home. Pay it forward right? Her insurance does not cover home health care nurses so that is an out of pocket expense, still its better than a stinking nursing home eh?
