Yes, I respect Anderson for practicing what he preached. I can respect Baldwin for being anti gun. But not when he profits from playing with guns he doesn’t think others should have. He could have avoided all this if he had lived the principles he claimed to espouse—like Anderson did.

I agree the mental health issue is big. I don’t think we as a society are willing to address it and punishing the non offenders isn’t consistent with equality under the law.

This is tongue in cheek humor but are you saying Baldwin should think about an insanity plea if charged? From some of the stories I’ve heard about his past behavior it may be legitimate. :)

So you are unaware of the political division in America? Practically 100% of those on the left support our current open borders as a caravan of thousands attend to storm our border? While this is going on, your President Biden is taking 13 of his administration to Europe to discuss Climate Matters! You say that is not intentional?? Baldwin is a violent apologist for all this and I expect you might be! Do you have a better explanation as to why our nation is being sold down the river? Why over 160,000 unvaccinated illegals are given entry and at the same time 1,000's of American citizens are being fired from their jobs due to a vaccination mandate? No one could make this stuff up except of course....an American Marxist. Anyone left of center is going that way. Baldwin should at least be held to the same scrutiny as our police officers who he detests!

I will be happy to keep you informed. Mainstream media does not share what I have mentioned. You can see video and tape of what goes on if you would watch the alternative occasionally.

Seems like the democrats are more worried for Baldwin then they are for this dead innocent woman
    Is it surprising though?
They like when men in bikinis beat the crap out of women in MMA
They are ok with free for all bathrooms with girls getting raped by boys in skirts
Clearly they don’t care about women, especially white ones like ashli babbit (these sickos are practically using her death as porn)

    DISGUSTING

So he says, not understanding a thing about special effects.

A real gun is necessary, because only a real gun can fire a blank round and firing a blank round is necessary to activate the dye-packs that give the appearance of blood oozing or splattering or spraying from a wound.

Perhaps in the distant future the technology will exist to allow for mock weapons to be used and for the dye-packs to be activated safely without injuring those on the set.

But, I doubt it, because one thing real guns can do that fake guns cannot do is eject rounds.

Maybe when you grow up you'll get an opportunity to fire as many different types of weapons as I have, like a Ma Deuce, 20mm, M60, various rifles, shot-guns, pistols and revolvers (and that doesn't count mortars, artillery or tank tubes.)

Revolvers and derringers don't eject rounds, and neither do certain types of shot-guns, but all other weapons do eject rounds, either automatically or manually.

For many people, films/TV need to be realistic in their detail, or people just won't watch them.

so you're saying it's impossible to create fake guns that set off a dye pack via bluetooth or something? this is 2021

they can make fake guns real enough to fool a cop, sure they could for movies

It is impossible to drive a car without brake pads and not know something is wrong with your car.

Yes and when someone is killed as a result there is a charge known as manslaughter.

That is true. But actor who is given a gun and told it is safe shouldn't hold any of that liability. Now, if you want to argue whether Alec should face charges for being a producer on an unsafe set. Well, I think that can have merit, but that would depend on his duties and responsibilities as the producer. There is no doubt though that the set was unsafe. Seriously, who thinks it is safe to actually live fire prop guns for fun. I wouldn't let there be live ammo anywhere near the set, and if there was for some crazy reason is sure wouldn't be of a caliber that any of the prop guns could fire. But even beside that, foul play could still be what happened here. The chain of custody was broken with the guns when they were left outside of the building on the table/cart. Just bad safety practice in general.

I don't believe he's blameless as he's working in close confines with a gun that is capable of causing death even when blanks are used.

Thats besides the fact that there was live fire on his set and that there had been 2 prior neglegent discharges.

This is the crux of the issue I have with politics as well. How can the various parties claim to stand for something but rationalize it when they don't do that in practice? For instance, how can one say "family values" and stand behind Trump? Divorced twice, married a lesbian porn model, had sex and tried to silence a porn actress, fake charities, fake schools, cheating contractors, price gouging our Secret Service, questionable allocation of Inaugural funds, etc... NONE of that would be acceptable from most people, publicly or privately. I know several people that have completely cut off family and/or friends for having affairs and Trump has done way more damage than that.
The broken system makes a ton of people a ton of money.
Well, think about that. One would have to be a bit whackadoodle to want to subject themselves and their loved ones to constant scrutiny and judgment, risk being stalked and threatened and be completely okay with having gobs and gobs of money while other people are living on the streets and/or hungry with few options. I've said it before but I'll repeat it. Elected officials ARE actors. They just have better clothes.

I don't recall I said the car didn't have brake pads. Other things can cause brakes to fail

I now trust you even less as a car mechanic

You chimed in on a post I made to another participant about a person driving a car with no brake pads - don't try to weasel out of it.

    Exactly.

That’s why I eschew all parties and party politics. :)
    True.
Yeh, the list of actors who are really decent people is pretty short I suppose. It seems that kind of money and fame has very negative consequences as seen by their high rates of substance abuse etc.

Today’s politicians are just actors. Most don’t believe in any principles, just play what ever part garners the most votes. People should be chanting “let’s go politicians” not just “let’s go Brandon”.

Fabulous. That's what you want in someone managing deadly weapons.

Not a problem if you're pastrycook .. a world of trouble if you're an armourer.

It's not the money and fame that makes them @ssholes (though it certainly adds to it) - it's who they were to start with. The desire to work in a field in which unnatural levels of attention from others is central, is a very special kind of narcissism.

Meantime, that list is probably one actor long. Keanu Reeves.
