Why because it doesn't have a full auto selector? I assure you, ask some of the vets on this site if they had their weapon full auto or semi auto on routine patrol? In either case, a firearm is never a toy even if it's a single shot 22 short..

Anyone who thinks full auto, or even 3 round burst, is a good idea, has never carried ammo.

I thinks I'm being trolled :) I have never really met anyone that considered a firearm a toy let alone an AR semi auto as one

Shooting an AR15 creates a huge explosion, a fireball launching from the end of the weapon, the brass flying past your face makes you dizzy and confused, the concussion and rifle slamming into your shoulder are painful and disorienting.

The after effects of shooting it are intense aggression, desire to inflict violence, and long term PTSD effects.

At least thats what liberal reporters say.

    Again no connection to
new common sense gun regulations that will reduce gun violence

    Again no connection to
new common sense gun regulations that will reduce gun violence

You have all sorts of legitimate issues, many are common sense
    But
    Again no connection to
new common sense gun regulations that will reduce gun violence[/QUOTE] Maybe that's because all the one's that are constitutional and will actually have some efficacy are in place? The assault weapons ban of the late nineties and early 2000's had zero effect on crime rates. Mostly this is because they are so seldom used in crime in the first place. And please we've been doing gun control off and on for more than 150 years in this country. What works and what doesn't work is pretty well known at this point in time.

I was addressing the gun control fanatics, and asking them that at the very least, they should allow today, what the everyday guns of the time were to be kept and carried as they were when the Founders wrote the Constitution.

I am for all the gun control the Founders had back in in 1789----which was to let every citizen who was not a criminal, madman or slave to have and carry whatever firearm they wanted without restriction.

Point out who was calling this a "silenced" weapon?

    It was the "gun lovers".

If you click the little arrow dear you can see the post history. I didn't start with the air rifles.
Weren't you saying something about how they couldn't do **** at 30 yards or take out a man?

They knew enough to see this nonsense coming a decade ago :) The NRA warned that anti gun nuts would never be satisfied until even the single shot muzzle loader were on the chopping block!

And by golly they were right, and that's why I purchase two year subscription to the NRA for many of my family members :)

Obviously that WASN'T the first post on the subject of air rifles then was it Snookums...

Again...you think these weapons fall through the cracks and should be regulated? Fine. Let's do that.

Beyond that they have nothing to do with this thread and I didn't bring them up

    Thanks for that inaccurate characterization.

That said...I never called these "silenced" weapons.

    Thanks for the admission

You'll note that "anti-gun nuts" only want these weapons NOT to be allowed in the hands of convicted felons

    Muzzle loaders, right

They can keep the guns from felons IF the leftist wouldn't give them sanctuary cities, no stop and frisk, profiling and all the other silly leftist road blocks they deem intrusive and against civil rights LOLOL..

I don't think any of them should be regulated, haven't you been paying attention?

    That's your bag, not mine.

    Well you did for one.

It's in the OP for two.

Third, it's liberal imaginations that are wetting their panties over a loud-ass single shot musket that takes 5 minutes to load and requires serious practice and knowledge to use with any level of accuracy or effectiveness.

The idea that people are going to be sniping people from 200 yards is, quite simply, laughably stupid.

Maybe liberals should stop making it their life's mission to put them back on the streets.

California and Virginia so far have given felons back voting rights, which is far more dangerous than a blunderbuss.
