I have but only for 19 hours even with mods. I'd rather play dark souls which is much more punishing and the melee feels much smoother. The combat in TES since morrowind has felt floaty and weak. It's basically a battle to see who has better stats and gear. Dark souls is... I started to play but quit after I noticed all the rascism in the game. Orcs should not be judged on race alone.

    I agree with Darksouls.

A real game, where the tag line "be prepared to die" is true.

If your character is not being crushed by the minions then the boss fights, it is being stalked by the other online players. A true work of cruel genius.

Now skyrim, what a pile of donkey poo with horrible fighting mechanics.

Too much storyline for you? Well, not much is to be expected from the gnat-like attention span of the average console player.

I don't mind story but intelligently done.

Dark souls is minimalistic, it mocks you to find out what the hell is going on. Where as Skyrim (i did play for a while, enjoyed it to the point i found out how horrible the fighting was) story is spoon fed in huge amounts of boring nonsense.

Skyrim a typical western rpg filled with lord of the rings style elfs and for some reason every character sounded like a Arnie Schwarzenegger clone.

I played it obsessively throughout my winter break. I am back in school now though, and I haven't played in about a month!! It is quite good.

If a game doesn't have compelling gameplay then it better at least have a compelling story and world but for me skyrim lacked both. The world of skyrim felt like it was filled with paper thin characters who you would interact with all to much. The story isn't all that bad except by how it is presented to you the player. Ie monologuing cardboard cutouts. The witcher has monologues too but they come from interesting characters who you develop feelings for. Only three character in Dark Souls who ever monologue the rest of the story has to be found out through item and spell descriptions and a few npcs here and there. Most of your conclusions are only speculations. But the story isn't what compels you in Dark souls it's becoming more skilled and playing the game through ng+ 7 or fighting other players and beating them without exploiting cheap tactics. In skyrim the game's entire combat save for mods is dead the game either is easy or cheap. I ended up just typing kill in the console because every fight felt pointless. In dark souls it's a sense of self accomplishment from your own actions instead of just finishing someones script.

um the game has racisms it has lots of evil people and racism is not limited to orces the aldmeri dominion is racists against all non mer and probably against all non altmer elves as well

the nords can be racist against anyone who is not a nord

But even the high elves and nords are not all racist

Dark elves used to be big on slavery

arognas and khajit are not allowed innto the city’s for the most part

the native almost breton population of the reach live under nord domination and discrimination that has sparked a violet insurgency and an uprising before that

the game has racism it doesn’t portrays it as right

the guards just don’t like that orcs have independent fortified villages scattered across their kingdom or what they consider to be their land ( well after driving out the snow elves )

So if a video game features a lot of crack cocaine dealing in it yet does not portray it as a right then I should feel ashamed for disliking it?

Incorrect. Gears of war 3 and Rage are both better.

Its basically mad max mixed with hills have eyes if you have viewed both those movies. Its a bit unique because while its a post apocolyptic first person shooter, it is a racing oriented game. The major form of entertainment in the world becomes aggressive racing yet in between you must make money and accumulate equipment by navigating the hostile wasteland of a world which has become. It is most excellent and unlike many games these days it is a real challenge if you select the most difficult setting.

Well worth it so long as you enjoy first person shooters. You would never think it was going to become a dirt track racing game based on the games start up. And theres also a pretty decent story of wasteland conquest to follow along as well. Sadly I havent even had the chance to play the whole way through the game.

it it just portrays crack cocaine as existing ya that’s an odd reason for disliking it

When it just exist to make the setting a bit more realistic or interesting and isnt about doing crack cocaine and possibly even show crack cocaine as a bad thing

so any probers with skooma as well?

O 8 or 9 divines some of the fantasy humans have a a problem with the green tusked people who worship a god they widely consider evil and who live outside of their control at a time where national feelings are running high

    shocking

Many of the stronghold orcs cosider every on else especially the city orcs to be weaklings to boot now that I think about it

No one even minds the polygamy in the strong holds

It’s an imperfect world in the game and the game is better for it a utopia where everyone gets along and nothing bad or unfair happens is boring

Do you also not like the game because it has crime? War? Poverty ? and as I mentioned at least one drug

I play it on and off again. It's an okay game but it's not something that I can just get absorbed into. It lacks character relation so I feel no connection at all with my character.

Go to the stormcloak city, Windhelm I think, and there's a kid their who's trying to summon the brotherhood. Do the quest for him and you'll end up being recruited after a little bit.
