At this point, the Democrats have Statler and Waldorf in the primary. The Dems are bleeding off the Bernie Bros as we speak.

Hillary got 48.2% of the vote, which is about the percentage you are quoting Trump at (but if you ask me, you are comparing apples to oranges in that comment). You are making the same mistake as before: there is no popular vote. It is done via the EC. Percentages mean jack.

Re 3rd party vote: most Libertarian votes are siphoned from the Republicans. I know this, being an anarchist I hang at some libertarian (small "l") websites and reddit. A lot of them are leaning Trump. (I won't vote for him on principal alone).

This is the reason you lose: hubris. It appears Democrats still haven't learned the lesson. You can't see the forest for your ideological trees. Can't seem to recognize your mistakes and learn from them. I'd like to see nothing more than a good old fashioned civil libertarian Dem trounce the tangerine tyrant, but you don't have those. The "flu" is a category of a type of virus family. It has included such things as the Spanish Flu variation, which killed around 50 million worldwide in 1918. That is also related to H1N1, another particularly virulent strain. Amazingly, the world did survive these things. How severe it is does not change the category.

Corona virus IS a flu virus. That is it's category, not it's specifics. Each year we encounter a new variety- thus, the advisories to get your flu shot never end. This one is different, has a very high contagion factor, and we did not have the advance time for preparation. But it should make you happy, because business and industry will take the brunt of the huge economic hit that is happening right now, as well as pay the taxes for all the benefits that you may well be given. In the end, the layoffs and problems that will precipitate will filter down to those who produce the least and whine the most. Give them new reasons to blame their own situation on someone else, as they always do. I mean if the world was a just place, such virus infections just wouldn't touch the people who whine the most. That should be a defense, an immunity to disease like they think it is to reason and responsibility.
