Visited the HD factory in Milwaukee..no money there..blokes driving cars down the street with no doors or boot lid..others doing their shopping on ride on lawnmowers..etc...

Yes on my first visit there I was amazed at the junk that it is legal to drive there, some are nothing more than paddock bashers

You will need to find out which are the "safe" cities versus the dangerous ones.

The temps and climate are cold here now.

Most people visit in summertime when it's warmer.

Popular destinations are D.C. (dangerous), Florida Keys (safe), Biloxi Miss. (safe), Texas (safe), Colorado (safe + legal pot), Las Vegas (dangerous but spectacular), San Diego (safe), Los Angeles (dangerous), San Francisco (fairly safe).

Definitely to avoid are Detroit, Chicago, and most of NYC.

I think something needs to be done about knife violence. Pointed knives and other sharp objects should be outlawed.

I see Bowerbird liked that:  Here's a little bet - if Bowerbird were being robbed at gun-point or knife-point by some punk who was high on something, she'd be very pleased to see 'a good guy with a gun' come around the corner to save her ass?

Nah! For a start such robberies are rare here because the guy coming round the corner is likely wearing work boots. Steel capped and we Aussies believe firmly that a good arse kicking is the best thing in the world

What a ridiculous answer. If your life were on the line in a dark street or alleyway, despite your bravado here, you'd be a shivering wreck and you know it.

Not sure but I think she has a greater chance of getting accidentally shot in the US
