A believer in God, FreshAir, does not have to prove anything to you or anyone else.

    A believer believes.

You go believe or go not believe as you desire, but you have neither the language, the symbols, or the logic to disprove deity.

that is the definition of Atheist, have you ever actually looked it up

Theists : believe in a God
Atheists : do not believe in a God
Agnostics : don't know what to believe

did I say they did, as long as you do not want to force your religion on others, I could care less what you or anyone else believes, I support religious freedom and everyone's right to believe whatever religion they want

no one could prove my God did not create their Christian God, anything that amazing would need a creator right?

Am I forcing my religion on you, FreshAir. I have every right to use my values in the public square as do you. If you agree, then we are square.

did I say you were, I am referring to using the Government to force ones religion on others or otherwise physically force it on people

Religion is something the people should decide for themselves, not their government decide for them

what religious values do you mean, like these

    http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/loving.html

"Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And, but for the interference with his arrangement, there would be no cause for such marriage. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix."
    -Judge Leon M. Bazile (January 6, 1959)

that religious nonsense has no place in our courtrooms

believe it in his own time, but he should not use the position of power he has to try and force his religious views on others

FreshAir, you are talking about one version of an archaic scripture that is not followed by the overwhelming number of Christians and Jews and Muslims.

If it comes push to shove, if religious or atheist values were to be excluded in public policy making, why, FreshAir, it would be neither.

    Next.

Well, you might examine the logic of your statement. Just a simple, I don’t know works for agnostics.

I think it will just be a natural progression for religion to decline this century the more science uncovers. More and more people are seeing what a waste of time going to church is or reading holy texts that are just mumbo jumbo. Religious people will be seen as more and more disconnected with reality and eventually will have to be placed in special education.

Religion yes, spirituality, not necessarily. There are many scientists who beleive that science is the conduit to spirituality.....I can’t say that’s right ar wrong as long as we keep everything in its proper place.

At the very least, organized religion should lose their tax exempt status. They should only avoid taxes like everyone else can, by deducting their donations to charity.

thats what religions do, (at least the theist religions, not so much the atheist religions), and that is why they get the deductions in the first place.

Feds say OK to atheists on religion tax break - USA Today
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/08/20/atheist...tax.../2678367/
Aug 20, 2013 - Government lawyers disagree, saying atheist leaders can be considered ministers. ... The federal government wants to give Annie Laurie Gaylor a tax break for leading an atheist group. ... But government lawyers say that atheist leaders can be ministers, too, since atheism can function as a religion...

speaking of disconnected it never ceases to amaze me how uneducated neoatheists today are. I have to correct literally everything they post.
    its a philosophical position sorry

If I had my way atheism would be made compulsory. Religion is the curse of mankind and will eventually destroy us unless we ban it.

Eventually they will be, but I don't know how "soon".

There are probably more atheists right now than we know anyway as people aren't always willing to admit it. Some folks just play along with being religious because of family and friends.

But in all honesty, I'm not worried about there being less religious people absolutely, just less of the ones who think other people have to adhere to their chosen religious beliefs and standards.

More or less, but it also incorporates things that people need, like comfort and community. Those can be found elsewhere, but they will have to be grown from the ground-up, like religions have. It won't happen overnight.

atheists dont disbelieve in God until they are brainwashed to do so.
babies are agnostic btw not atheist.

Like the militant neoatheists on this board? Pontificating their religion and trying to browbeat theists into disbelieving in their chosen God....

What title would you prefer instead of atheist?
