An Empire, not necessarily a dictatorship. And seeing the political mess of democracy, they were right. A centralized government is much preferable to political fights of control.

His lies about the Mueller report are very well known. As for lies under oath, the webpage https://www.pogo.org/analysis/2020/09/injustice-tracking-bill-barrs-misconduct-as-attorney-general/ has a pretty good summary. Here is a partial extract.

During a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Barr makes several false and misleading statements about the Mueller report.

First, in reference to the May 2017 firing of FBI Director James Comey, when asked whether he believes Comey’s conduct regarding the investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was improper, Barr responds, “Yes. I said so at the time.” Although Barr may have later come to disapprove of Comey’s conduct, he certainly did not say so at the time: In an October 2016 op-ed titled, “James Comey Did The Right Thing,” Barr defended Comey’s decision to publicly discuss the investigation of Clinton, saying that criticism of him “is absurd” and there is “nothing wrong” with what he did. Barr also tells senators that Trump relied on then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s critique of Comey’s conduct as the basis for the firing. But Trump had in fact publicly acknowledged that “regardless of the recommendation I was going to fire Comey” because he was frustrated with the Russia investigation.

Second, Barr states that Trump “fully cooperated” with Mueller’s team and that Mueller never sought or pushed for testimony beyond a written inquiry to the White House. This directly conflicts with the special counsel’s report, which states that Mueller wanted to conduct an in-person interview, and “sought for more than a year” to do so, but only opted not to further pursue it because doing so would likely have led to a court battle that would have delayed and hurt the investigation. Additionally, the Mueller report documents numerous acts of obstruction by Trump; even if these actions do not rise to criminal conduct, it is impossible to reconcile these efforts to hamper the investigation with Barr’s claim that the president “fully cooperated.”
There are more examples on the above referenced webpage.

I am happy to show you some of the research I did to support my claims (quoting all my research would fill pages and pages). In exchange I only ask that you either rebut them with similar evidence (links, quotes, references, ...) or acknowledge that my statement was correct.

Only for the elite of that country, which in all likelyhood you won't be a part. Ask the Chinese.

He's allowed to have a different opinion with regards to how Comey handled the Clinton investigation. Now, with regards to Comey's firing Trump wasn't merely "frustrated with the Russia Investigation". James Comey lied to the President on numerous times in January, and then in April when the President asked for assurances that he wasn't under investigation and Comey had confirmed that, the President then reasonably said this should get out to the American People.

We as Americans should expect our FBI director, especially in lieu of his 'transparent' testimony with regards to secretary Clinton to tell us the truth. He had decided not to do so, and the President made the right decision to fire a man who refused to tell the American People the truth.

And while Comey said he "wasn't" under investigation, he de-facto was as the IG report later reveals. So in truth, not only did he lie to the President in April, he lied to him in January while briefing him. Even more than McCabe, Comey has a silver tongue of deceit and hadn't spoken truth in 3 years. We later learned of "I sent them", another brazen act of deception that you probably think of as patriotism.

I have no qualms whatsoever with Trump firing a man who willfully engages in deception as head of the FBI. My only regret is the contradicting statements which were unnecessary. He had full authority to fire him outright, for the actual reasons. He didn't need to hide it.

I openly acknowledge these aren't links, quotes or references. These are my interpretations of the events, but that would be no different from the interpretations of democrats who want to call him a liar, a truth is nothing more than an interpretation agreed upon.

I don't give a crap about his opinion. He has a job. And he took an oath of office. This guy put partisan politics and "loyalty" to the President above the constitution and the laws.

I have no interest whatsoever in defending Comey. His incompetence was, in my opinion, the greatest contributor to Trump's win.

My post has nothing to do with opinions. There are facts. It's a fact that he lied to Congress. It's a fact that he lied to "We The People" about the Mueller Report... and on and on... If these are facts, then it's also an objective fact that he placed loyalty to a political figure above loyalty to the country and failed to uphold his oath of office.
