    These likely victims of sea level rise are highlighted on a new map created by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission that shows possible changes in the Vineyard seascape for future generations.

    According to the projection used for this set of maps, the level of the ocean around the Island could rise one and a half feet by 2050 and five feet by 2100, surpassing estimates for some other parts of the world."

    I suppose in the year 2100, maybe his daughters or grandchildren will sell the joint.

    Doesn't mean climate change should just be ignored.

    The right's perspective on the environment is quite the :wall:.

    Even better - When Humpty Trumpty says global warming is a BS and a hoax and then hires a company to repair damage to the sand dunes on his Irish golf course specifically and admittedly caused by global-warming sea level rise, does that mean Cantaloupe Caligula is a lying SOB and his cult members are gullible fools?

    As you hear and read about polar ice caps melting and Greenland's ice sheet melting into the ocean and Russia's Siberian region and Alaska experiencing record heat and permafrost melt,if you don't see that as climate change YOU have a serious mental block!!!

    Do earthquakes as a rule put your property under the ocean? Would you spend 15 million on ocean front property with its own beach if you thought it would soon be underwater? Either Obama doesn't believe sea level is rising or he's pretty stupid. Has to be one or the other.

    So Obama is spending 15 million on beach property that won't have a beach in 30 years. And remember for that projection to be true he will be able to slowly watch his investment go underwater and if that were to start to happen his property would be worthless in very short order. Either he doesn't believe that will happen or he's not to intelligent.

    Asinine post. Everyone knows the Obama's signed a multi-million dollar contract with Netflix last year to produce content for
    Netflix. Estimates are the contract was over 75 million. Why is it we have to hold the hands of the conservatives on this site and walk them through every story that comes out ... it ain't rocket science and not everything is a grand conspiracy.

    I suspect that it would take hundreds of years for sea levels to rise 70 feet and that such drastic climate change doesn't happen overnight. I'm sure he does believe in global warming and is educated enough to know that his home is not going to be engulfed by the sea, due to global warming, during his lifetime. I hope they enjoy the vacation home that they earned.

    Speaking of science - Sea levels rose between 6 and 9 inches between 1900 and 2016. Some speak as if the effects of global warming occur drastically overnight.

    The big one is supposed to happen within the next 90 years....so Trump and tons of other rich and not so rich Republicans are pretty stupid. Not because of that....just in general.
