Barack and Michelle Obama 'to buy $14.85 million Martha's Vineyard estate

One of two things is true. (1) AOC's chief of staff told the truth that Climate Change is not about the Climate at all, but part of a conspiracy to replace Liberty with a totalitarian Socialist state, or (2) The Obamas have a great deal of confidence in Trump accomplishing what Obama himself failed to accomplish: Slow the rise in the oceans and heal the earth.

 

Aren't they part of the "elite" that Democrats are always railing against? Shouldn't they as good Democrats be giving that $14 million to the homeless or illegals? I thought we are all supposed to be dead soon due to global warming? It looks like a long term investment and, good for them, they have a YOLO attitude...

Why do you assume the Obama’s believe the property will be under water soon? Have they ever stated such? If so, please provide a link showing such.

Warmers are telling us sea levels will rise dramatically and within fifty years. They forecast nearly two feet by then which will year by year swallow obamas beach that he paid millions for. Apparently Obama doesn't really believe the doom and gloom hysteria he preaches.

 

The big one is speculative while supposedly global warming is settled science as is associated glacier melting and dramatic sea level rise. Obama preaches that as he spends 15 million for his private beach.

 

The article that I linked to said 1 foot in 100 years. Even if it's two feet in 50 years, if the property is 70 feet above sea level, it's clear that the Obama's have nothing to worry during their lifetime by purchasing this property. And as intelligent people you can rest assured that they know it. Therefore, logically, they can believe in the science of global warming and still enjoy the beach house.

 

Why would bebop and mooch buy beachfront property knowing we only have a few years left before we are under water ? And with them ever ravaging hurricanes stronger and longer then ever before one would be nuts to buy beachfront property knowing how dangerous this man made global warming is. Well we agree then that despite Obama's rhetoric of rapid and catastrophic sea level rise in the near future he doesn't really believe that will happen. He apparently doesn't actually believe the hysteria that he ran on as president.

Okay, #1, this is an anonymous report from a British tabloid that the Obama's are reportedly "trying to buy" the estate. Great credibility there.

#2, sea-level projections show that Martha's Vineyard could be heavily affected, but it won't be destroyed:

#3, the Obamas could be doing the math and realize the worst effects of sea-level rise will occur after they're dead, so there's no reason not to enjoy the property now;

#4, the Obamas could be confident that the world will ignore climate deniers and eventually address the issue, thus avoiding the problems.

 

My family vacations on Cape Cod, a few miles east of the Kennedy Compound. It’s a nice area. But I prefer Nantucket over Martha’s Vineyard.

He obviously isn’t concerned about rising sea levels.
