You bring up a very key point -- that WE Americans brought this whole stinking, clinging ILLEGAL ALIEN mess on ourselves!

It started during the Mexican Revolution (1910 - ~1940), when Mexico was in a state of armed rebellion and its government was in a constant uproar. Mexicans were desperate to get out and make money doing anything they could rather than be starved or killed in their civil war -- so -- they literally sneaked into the United States (as "wetbacks") -- where AMERICANS were only too happy to enjoy the benefit of a huge pool of cheap manual labor!

Then World War II came along, and Mexicans, coming in even greater numbers, filled the void created when huge numbers of American men were sent off to go fight the Germans and Japanese, or work in war-related industries. Americans had been scrambling to earn a living doing 'crap-jobs' during the Depression of the 1930's, but once FDR and Churchill finally got their war going, there was plenty of higher-paying work for any American 'with a pulse'.

The enormous 'prosperity boom' that followed WWII for about 20 years further entrenched the practice of using illegal aliens from Mexico to do more and more of the manual labor in America. The Mexicans came every year, worked hard, sent their earnings back to Mexico, and then they left -- and everybody was satisfied with the arrangement. Then, starting in the 1960's everything started to change.

Fast-forward to today, and we've got MILLIONS of illegal aliens from Mexico AND all of Central America all over the damned place, and no practical way to get them OUT of here. And the main point to be made is -- WE AMERICANS DID THIS TO OURSELVES!

It's doubtful that anything can be done to change things now, but if anyone is serious about actually DOING anything useful about stemming the flow of illegal aliens into the U. S. today, it must (MUST) include brutally-harsh, draconian punishments for Americans who
hire any illegal aliens -- period. It was true 100 years ago, and it's true today -- illegal aliens don't come here for any reason other than to get money -- and if they can get welfare handouts, "subsidies", and other free stuff from the American government (especially when Democrats are in power), then SO MUCH THE BETTER!

The law doesn't allow illegal or undocumented humans in the US to apply for any welfare benefits and it has been that way for decades..

 

Illegal's get them also. I know the rule appears to say what you think, but in reality its broad enough that the IRS has been giving them to illegals also. Technically they are "nonresidents" or "resident aliens". Both legal and illegal folks are not allowed to get a SSN unless they become Citizens.

 

Yet millions are on the dole with fake credentials. Happens all the time.

 

If you know so much point out the ones with fake credentials that are allowed by law to get welfare.

And that has what to do with enjoying government benefits like citizens? If any citizen gets a government benefit does that mean I am also entitled to it because I pay taxes? It is ridiculous and you know it.

And, in addition to the magic word, "Asylum", all they need to do is add magic phrases, like, "No tengo dinero, no tengo comida, no tengo un lugar para vivir, no tengo nada!" (I don't have money, I don't have food, I don't have a place to live, and, I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING!) This is usually followed, unsurprisingly with, "Y no me siento bien!" (And I don't feel good!) So, on top of everything else, the government has to pay for doctors, medicine, hospitals, dentists, etc., etc., etc. Oh, and if this illegal alien brought his whole damned family with him, they get all that free stuff, TOO!

I guess you figured out that all this recitation of the illegal's needs and wants is conducted in Spanish, and the Border Patrol agents are all expected to be able to accommodate the illegal aliens in Spanish, OF COURSE!

This can, and often does, GO ON FOR MONTHS -- OR LONGER.... And, often, the illegal aliens just 'disappear' into the American population, get their hands on fake ID's, and get hooked-up with welfare benefits by sob-sister 'social workers' (usually career Democrat 'civil servants' who run these programs....

And if you are in any doubt about who pays for it all, and, if you are an American taxpayer, GO LOOK IN THE MIRROR....
