    Only because you define identifying the source of the virus as China to be racist. Trumps the one that opened the Marlago club to blacks and Jews at a time when only one Palm Beach club was opened to Jews and none were open to blacks

    Redding California. At the 99 cent store plain medium eggs are $6.99 a dozen a cage free large eggs $8.99 a dozen.

    No. Trump kissed CHina's butt.

    Meanwhile, behind the scenes as evidenced by the Woodward tapes, Trump knew the situation was dire and admitted to misleading the public. And you know what he was praised for it because great leaders don't cause panic. That's literally how his supporters rationalized being spoonfed BS for months.

    Here in the UK we are paying less than the the equivalent of $2 for a dozen. And the main reason is due to our animal welfare concerns; a public backlash against cramming tens of thousands of chickens in a tiny warehouse. The reason for bird flu becoming rampant in the US is your wish for cheap farming produce. We have a bird flu outbreak which initially caused a shortage of eggs but it is being contained to some extent.

    Inflation has very little to do with the price of eggs

    A handful? How many of the 222 GOP House members sided with the Freedom Caucus to force McCarthy to make concessions? If it weren't for the HFC we'd have yet another imperial Speaker who gets to do whatever he wanted with no accountability and maintain the GOP status quo of being overly cooperative with Democrats and screwing us all over. And the overwhelming vast majority of the GOP were perfectly fine with that happening. That little stunt the Freedom Caucus pulled was the most fire I've seen out of the GOP in decades and it was only a handful of them.

    instead a handful of extreme right Republicans will fight the Republican Party on everything unless they get 100% their way and nothing will get done for the American people - Republicans do not have the votes without democrats, so they have to work together if they want to accomplish anything - neither party gets their extremes passed - the question is, will Congress get anything passed at all

    if the voters wanted 100% Republican run, they would have voted for that, they did not, the voters also did not vote for 100% Democrat run

    the voters are tired of extreme right and extreme left

    I don't mind political parties working together, they have to obviously as you said. What I do mind are completely one sided deals that get routinely made where Republicans come out on the bottom. If a "deal" or "compromise" is made to where you get 90% of what you want and I get 10% then that's not a deal. Democrats are WAY BETTER at negotiating than Republicans. I can't fault them for that, good for them, but as long as that's the case I don't want Republicans talking to Democrats until they learn to get some of that fire Democrats have.

    The traditional establishment GOP is completely outmatched and out gunned by the modern Democrat Party and it's 100% due to the lethargic mentality of traditional Republicans. Democrats with kick, scream, bend rules, change rules, smear, write hit pieces, call you names, etc to gain the upper hand in politics. The GOP stands there and gets punched in the face feigning "respect for the process" and "maturity". They don't counter punch. At a certain point just standing there and taking it and doing nothing doesn't make you the adult in the room it makes you the idiot who is getting punched in the face.

    From a pure political perspective I'm not mad at Democrats at all, I'm jealous of Democrats. I want Republicans to have that same fire. I'm tired of voting for these people and sending them into the arena with Democrats and watching them get KO punched in the mouth. I'm tired of voting for and paying these people to take my car to the shop for a simple oil change and they come home with a $2000 bill for blinker fluid. Then look me in the face and say well the shop said I had to buy that too in order to get the oil changed...I did get the oil changed though so that's a win. All while the Democrat auto shop is sitting there laughing its ass off at the idiot that just left and can't wait for the next elephant stamped car to show up in the shop to "negotiate".

    Yeah because that's my point. The apathy these people have is the problem and we have come to the breaking point now to where apathy in the face of this Democrat onslaught is no longer a viable strategy. McCarthy isn't a fighter, he was never planning on being a fighter, and over 200+ GOP House members just immediately bowed their heads in acceptance for McCarthy who was going to do nothing at all but maintain the status quo of Republicans getting their faces pounded in by Democrats. Only a small handful of the GOP, primarily the HFC, had the fortitude to stand up and say no and force McCarthy to make concessions and agree to DO SOMETHING. Why didn't the rest of the GOP hold the same sentiments? Hell plenty of other GOP members were openly hostile to the HFC for having the audacity to make the Speaker actually fight on behalf of the Party.

    The GOP lost it all in 2020 and gave us this mess we are in because they couldn't get their act together and they allowed the Democrats to bend/break rules and exploit damn near every grey area imaginable. Then even in the face of an objectively terrible state of the country they managed to lose again in 2022. That's what I mean by spineless. The GOP fractured the voting base between establishment GOP candidates and MAGA type candidates, put up terrible candidates like Dr. Oz, allowed idiots like Lindsey Graham to get on national TV talking about banning abortion nationwide months before an election, etc. All while Democrats change the voting rules and ballet harvest and mail in vote and all sorts of other shady stuff while the GOP engages in a civil war and decides to wag it's finger at Democrats when halfway paying attention and little else.

    And then the GOP was perfectly happy with just letting McCarthy roll right on in with zero concessions when he and his cronies are the same failures that helped get us in the mess in the first place.
