Unbelievable! I see the seven-hour brainstorming exercise like this: May is taking a breather at the bottom of the hole it's taken her over two and a half years to dig. Fourteen of her Cabinet - her own Cabinet? - lower a ladder so she can get out of it. But instead of grasping the ladder to get out of the hole, what does she do? Why, she picks up the spade and carries on digging. [IMG] Although she obviously knows that Corbyn is at the opposite end of the spectrum, does she seriously believe she can talk him into seeing it her way?? What a national humiliation!

The insolence, lie and betrayal of the British people in person with 2 legs - Boris Johnson - accuses May of treachery?
    How ridiculous is that?

O dear ... does this total jerk of UK actually have fans with an organ in their heads that calls themselves a brain ... or are they just only those with a vacuum in their heads?

The more May betrays hardline leavers the better.

They don't care about the future of Britain as long as they can make their money without the restrictions they so hate.

This chaos has arisen because they (the political classes) don't want to leave, so they must (as they keep saying ad nauseam) honour the wishes of the people, and at the same time dream up ways which will enable themselves to not lose any of the political benefits and advantages of staying in, notably (at the risk of repeating myself yet again) maintaining openings for themselves in the Brussels parliament in their future careers. In other words, we'll leave technically, but there will be so many strings attached that there will be hardly any difference to actually remaining, other than getting our sovereignty back, having border controls, and the freedom to trade with the rest of the world on our own terms. In the meantime the politicians will have their freedom to become MEPs.

Absolute tosh. There is no way of delivering the unicorns the hard brexiters want.
That's the bottom line. More and more people who voted to leave because they believed the lies told by the likes of Gove, Johnson, rees Mogg et al are changing their minds.

What does it matter to you if you're not in the UK?

I am definitely British living in the UK. When you see me arguing for a Brexit to suit another country, as you do, then you might have a point.

    As it is, you don't.

What? You're all for a Pro EU Brexit.
How is that not arguing for a Brexit to suit another country?

As if the UK asking for access to Wall Street wouldn't suite the London Stock Exchange?

I'm all for staying in the EU.

The EU is not a country.

What on earth do you mean?

Then move to Germany. Go to Ireland, go to a part of the EU that's the EU, but don't stop a US UK trade deal because of your unholy and unjustified hatred of America.

There will be no US/UK trade deal because there will be no hard Brexit.
Unfortunately for the orange baboon, he won't be able to foist his chlorinated chickens and plastic beef onto us.
Not to mention the melted down wotsits he calls cheese.
I'm staying in my homeland, by the way, which is Great Britain.

No, it's an oligarchy run by un-elected bureaucrats.

I do travel to work three days a week, but not on the Eurostar, though I would do so happily.

    What about you, Cerberus?

How do you find the time to work?

You seem to spend an awful lot of time posting on discussion boards.

    Prove it.

My posting habits no longer include inter-discussion, but in this case I have to say DUH!!!

    oligarchy
    /ˈɒlɪɡɑːki/
    noun
    1. a small group of people having control of a country or organization.
"the ruling oligarchy of military men around the president"

I asked you to prove that the EU was an oligarchy. Not to define the word using an American dictionary.

I'll make it simpler for you. Tell us in which way the EU is an oligarchy.

An oligarchy is exactly the same whether it be an English or American definition. No further comment. Think yourself lucky you got that one, but I'm feeling communicative this morning. Good try at squirming out of it though.

And again, the evidence that someone from the EU, the institutions of the EU, how these are composed and who decides what and how in the EU, has no idea ... but just once again nonsense claims of an oligarchy.

Tell me ... it's not by accident that you're actually Nigel Farrage or Boris Johnson or any of those paid Brexit propagandists?

Are you sure you're not French or German or something just trolling?

That statement lacks all the nuances of a native English speaking person and all the charm of a wet towel like whenever a German or non English Speaking EU Bureaucrat when they try to make a joke in English.
Look at how an American is bigger and taller and more well fed than an European, then tell me why their FDA approved isn't good enough for us.

If you were British, you'd know that's what he's known as over here.

Why your stuff isn't good enough for us, you mean. Ahem.
What you call well fed, we call fat.

Well, I think so, too, but just in case....
Cerberus, explain how the EU is an oligarchy?

    Yeah, you're not British.

    You're just trolling.

Nice try, but, no one calls him the Orange Baboon this side of the English Channel.

Sad really, you masquerade as a Brit to try and win support for your EU Super State thinking if you pretend to be affected by Brexit, people would believe the UK wants to be in the EU.

Sorry to disappoint you, but life expectancy is 3.5 years lower (and going down the last 3 consecutive years) in the US than the EU average.
