But the lawmaker could and maybe will prevent a hard Brexit, with a non confidence vote.
GE would be a reason for the EU to give a extension. Johnson is only PM by the grace of 0.3% of the population, 90,000 party voters.

Europeans have to register first with US before travel, online, dumbest process ever, longer than 30 days a visa is required and than it gets wild

We are all speculating, what will Johnson do and what will the parliament do.
My crystal ball says, hard Brexit will not be allowed and Johnson will fall, because of a non confidence vote.

I go to the USA twice a year from Canada and never have been held up more than 10 minutes at the crossing.

Brexit is a 'massive economic opportunity': PM Johnson

Manchester (United Kingdom) (AFP) - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday said Brexit was a "massive economic opportunity" but had been treated under his predecessor Theresa May as "an impending adverse weather event".

In a speech in Manchester where he pledged new investment in Leave-voting areas, Johnson promised to step up negotiations on post-Brexit trade deals and set up free ports to boost the economy.

"When people voted to leave the European Union, they were not just voting against Brussels, they were voting against London too," he said.

He promised a £3.6 billion ($4.5 billion, 4 billion euros) "Towns' Fund" to support a 100 struggling towns, "so that they will get the improved transport and the improved broadband connectivity that they need.

"Taking back control doesn't just apply to Westminster regaining sovereignty from the EU, it means our cities and counties and towns becoming more self governing," he said.

"Leaving the EU is a massive economic opportunity to do things we've not been allowed to do for decades," he said. . . . .

    Sounds good to me.

Boris talks the talk. He presents as an amiable buffoon but is there depth to him or not?

    Now Brexit begins.

“The parallels between Johnson and President Donald John Trump are many because the situation is the same on both sides of the pond. The establishment failed us with their globalist nonsense in which we are to surrender our sovereignty to some international cabal of bureaucrats who never consider the consequences of their daft decisions. Jefferson wrote of the consent of the governed. The governed no longer consent to the globalist erasure of their national identity.”

If you don't want to follow their rules to enter, then I guess you can go somewhere else. I'm encouraged that GB is finally standing up for itself, I was starting to fear that they had lost their survival instincts.

in Australia we call it "giving someone a fair go" meaning not condemning before someone has opportunity to prove themselves.

    Churchill looked scruffy and grumpy
    Thatcher looked ladylike
    Trudeau looks like a schoolboy
    Pitbulls look cute

Why would they have to leave GB in order to remain in the EU?

As a Londoner and born in the UK in my view Boris Johnson is a racist self serving liar who salivates for nothing more than power because he simply wants it. His brexit policy is to abandon the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement and risk the peace process and a return of Irish Terrorism, he has moved on to a new woman and has not moved any of his (six or seven) children into Downing Street and as Mayor of London he achieved nothing worthwhile (his claims fall apart at even a cursory examination) except help make fellow Conservatives richer.
He isn't funny, unless you find racist remarks funny, he is now going around the place promising the earth to garner support before people actually realise what a charlatan and liar he is, and generally he is stupid (yes stupid...don't let the stuck up voice and swallow a dictionary verbal gymnastics fool you) and utterly bone idle. He has filled his cabinet with sycophants using the box ticking approach and each of his appointments have been people even more vile than he is...perhaps he thinks it will make him look good standing alongside them.
Boris is as appealing as a layer of cat vomit on dog poop.
Indeed, Larry the Downing Street Cat has done more for any positive reputation regarding Westminster than any Conservative politician.

How does your idea for a UK/EU border square with the Internationl Treaty which is the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement?

You can become a pawn of a different elitist if you want. It is still being a pawn. For instance Boris is funded by Hedge Funds, they are in a fight with Centrist banks. How does any of this help you. Just different relationships with Corporate Power and different ways of subduing you.

Not really. i fear him, which may well be the desired position for many politicians to be in these days.
I suppose he wants to be loved, but he won't mind not being loved by the likes of me. I simply have to wait for a chance to vote him and his ilk out.
