Smart people know the difference, less smart people need help to understand.

Kindly don't presume to educate me on how to become a better person - or anything else for that matter. And if you're so resolved to enhance my life there's something you can do to make that happen . . . keep out of it.

I figured any attempts to help you would be wasted. Bitter, hateful people love to wallow in their own misery.

An example is Emanuel Samson. Although he claims the shooting of innocent people was revenge for Dylann Roof's murderous rampage, that's just an excuse. Samson is, like Roof, obviously mentally disturbed. Rather than seek help, he wallowed in his own misery to the point he, like Roof, became a murderer.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/29/us/tennessee-shooting-revenge-note.html
The 25-year-old black man accused of a deadly shooting at a church near Nashville had a note in his car that made reference to revenge for the church massacre carried out by a white supremacist in Charleston, S.C., according to a report by The Associated Press.

The note could help investigators better understand the state of mind of the gunman, identified as Emanuel Kidega Samson, when he fatally shot a woman and left half a dozen wounded as services were ending last Sunday at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in the Nashville area. The note also suggests a possible motive for the attack.

Mr. Samson of La Vergne, Tenn., was charged with murder and is being held without bond. The police said they expected additional charges to be filed.......

Now you're talking to me as if I'm not only 'hateful and bitter' but a half-wit too. Just shut up - I'm not interested in what you have to say, nor do I need your counsel. I'm probably a lot smarter than you are!

Bitter, hateful and now arrogantly narcissistic. Interesting.

Regarding the OP, the unfortunate events in Vegas will drive those to the back page, but I'm still curious about his motivations and psychiatric history.

We already know his motivation. Racially motivated, wanting revenge for the Dylan Roof shooting. But I have a feeling you won't accept this explanation.

just as there is no difference between Neo-Nazis and the White House, as Trump said they have some "fine people".

He never said Nazis had "fine people" in them. He was referring to some of the marchers in Charleston who were part of the alt right.

he said there were some fine people amongst the Neo-Nazis and KKK marchers.

FACT: pretty much EVERYONE supporting the Lee statue were KKK, Neo-Nazis, or some other form of extremist.

so everyone who supports a confederate statue in public is a nazi/kkk member ?
I don't believe they should be in public, but calling everyone who disagree with a "nazi" is a played out tactic.
