Obama is recorded defending his claims. And he ran down Trump. The guts of the claims about Russia is it would lead to voter fraud. Fraud in accepting the statements of Russia.

 

Speaking of the report and not needing it, it is a wonderful vindication of the real news media. We already knew quite a lot of what was in it, including Trump's numerous lies and the lies of his officials, thanks to all of that excellent "fake liberal news" reporting. They are defenders and heroes of the people! CNN deserves so much appreciation for keeping it all up under the worst kinds of attack from the bully pulpit of the Liar in Chief and his horde of rabid fans, including even attempted terrorist attacks.

 

Wow takes a special person to believe this. Yeap you're right the MSM had it right all along, please keep going with that. Unfortunately, all your serious Presidential candidates are running from this take, otherwise it would be another Trump landslide.

 

Trump didn't even win the popular vote, and the only thing that secured his 2016 victory was Russian election meddling. Between the influence campaign which included not only advertising but actually arranging pro-Trump rallies all over the country and direct manipulation of various activist groups on the one hand, and the hacking and dumping of DNC emails at strategic times (e.g. less than an hour after the release of the Billy Bush video, publication having been accomplished via WikiLeaks that time) on the other, the election was greatly impacted and influenced by all of this combined. They helped make "Crooked Hillary" more than empty words on the lips of a serial liar.

I remember it was the worst, most negative campaign I had ever witnessed. I remember that made quite an impression on me. Now I know what made it so, and I'm sure those efforts will be repeated in 2020 also. No matter what the outcome of the election, they will have their victory from it also, because either we get the crooked, lying fake president and Russian asset again, or we get a Democratic president whose election is viewed as illegitimate by a bunch of Republican voters who are already convinced due to these sustained disinformation efforts on the part of the Russian government that the Democrats are somehow corrupt and rigging our elections. You will only serve them by repeating their lies against the Democrats and, of course, against the REAL news media who report the FACTS. They are, of course, the enemy of the Russians and of Donald Trump, and so both parties have attacked and will continue to attack the MSM. If you can't beat the MSM's facts, you beat the MSM through disinformation and propaganda, just as you beat Hillary Clinton's campaign through disinformation and propaganda. Republicans are in a very vulnerable position to be influenced by these efforts precisely because of the political contest at play. You're naturally biased and incentivised to believe lies against the Democrats and any news media that don't agree with your party platform. It is a major weakness that is being exploited to erode our democracy.

It's the MSM that was actually right Trump is a traitor and colluded with Russia and our Intelligence services couldn't find it even after sending in agents posing as Russians and spying on the campaign. The issue is Russian meddling in our politics. The MSM never claimed that trump was colluding. There were questions about that - legitimate questions based on his conduct, and even more so on the conduct of certain high-ranking members of his campaign. I trust you understand this.

It's all win-win for the Russians. No matter who wins a presidential election going forward, it's either the kook they support (currently Trump) or someone they have you and millions of others believing is corrupt, and they have you believing that our electoral system is rigged by the Demcrats in favor of the Democrats even after a Trump victory! You can see this, yes? You can appreciate the situation we are in, yes? The threat to our democracy and way of life that all of this represents, yes?

I also think most legal Americans took civics in high school and understand the basis for our electoral college and don't think it's rigged for any party, I mean both parties have had President's in our history and all. I also believe most American's take political posts on facebook for what they are, I doubt voters will be swayed by 4,000 dollars worth of political ads.

The win/win for the Russians is the fact that the MSM did run with the collusion for 3 years, the MSM and democrats attempted to convince American's that Trump stole the election by colluding with Russians and therefore he wasn't a legitimate President. All that now has been proven false so I think most Americans are happy we don't have a Putin puppet or traitor in the Whitehouse. If you want to sell that the MSM and Dems didn't push this narrative and in fact HELP the Russians cause division then I think you should go for it and let the chips fall where they may in 2020.
