    No we are being given a window into trump's thinking and complete lack of understanding of the rule of law. when his counsel has to threaten to quit before executing an order from the president, that's news.

    No one was debating anything until you showed up.

    We're just noting how Trump was about to do something very stupid, but lucky the counsel threatens to quit and ended it.

    Seems like his general counsel disagreed.

    But I wonder if there are any conflicts of interest in Trump using his power to fire the people investigating him.

    Fair enough, that's what lawyers are for. If Trump really colluded with Russia and Mueller was hot on the case, do you think Trump would let himself get hanged because his lawyer might quit? Think this through, Trump had an idea and didn't follow through with it. How many people does that happen to every day?
