    I knew you would go there. For trump, this isn't about a crime. It doesn't have to be a crime. For it to be a crime he would have to be found guilty of a crime by some judicial process, and that didn't happen because this news just came out.

    The point that I was addressing is obvious to everyone else, but for you I will be more pedantic. The point I was addressing was the nonsensical idea that an attempt to take an action that was ultimately not taken does not mean the issue is over, unless you're talking about an attempt to grow a beard.

    At this point, we can only assume Mueller has SO much information, it's making his head spin and he's taking longer than he needs to make it somewhat of a challenge... I can't imagine he thought it would be this easy...

    If Trump weren't so damned stupid, and he actually talked to his lawyers before pulling this sort of bone headed stunt (like telling everyone he would welcome the chance to testify under oath before a grand jury), he wouldn't be in the situation he's in.

    But this is the way Trump has always operated. He barrelled, blustered and bullied his way through every deal, and when they fell apart (as most of them did) he had his lawyers clean up later.
