Then the member Riever should be able to provide an explanation, in their own words, to demonstrate that the surveys were indeed conducted in a completely random, scientific manner devoid of a bias that would include so many convicted felons in the selected group, in order to support the false notion that firearms possession leads to greater victimization rates. But such is not done. Rather whenever such is pointed out, the member Riever can do nothing except cite other studies that claim how surveys are indeed random, while doing nothing themselves to demonstrate that no bias is present.

There is nothing preventing yourself from supplying the notes of the researchers who conducted the survey, which would go to demonstrate that they did not intentionally select the supposedly "randomly selected" individuals for the explicit purpose of making the results support the predetermined outcome. With the black community making up such a small percentage of the population in the united states, it is logically impossible for them to represent the majority of those selected for the survey on the matter of blind chance alone.

You guys love guns, we don't - Its not bad being different, imagine how boring the world would be if we were all the same.
You stay home and worry about who is coming around the corner rather than bother about lands far, far away.

I love that Americans have guns and, if it makes you feel safer, strap a bazooka to the front of your car mate.....just stop trying to compare yourselves to lands that you've never been to.

And other Countries, desperate criminals that would stick at nothing and had already a high body count, yet New Scotland Yard had zero information on them, mine was a bit more complete, and I was tasked with the impossible mission of bringing them back alive to face trial, and I doubted that possibility.

London was nice, and I was Armed according to law with credentials and a B.P.H. in a soft holster cross draw at 10:00.....

I'm not sure that crims have more rights. They're breaking the law, not claiming rights. But I also think that stabbings are a bigger criminal problem aren"t they?

 

I'm not in the US so I can't comment on that. My own experience is here in Australia. I was a copper for 40 years, a detective for some years, I was reflecting on my own lived experience

These deaths occur in well defined manners and venues, reference the deaths of various Black rappers for example.

You have Gang and turf wars, drug related and many of those deaths occur in that venue.

It is all very plain and simple.

No, gun control in no way reduces suicide, since people commit suicide in other Countries every day without guns, in prisons, everywhere there are ZERO firearms of any kind.

Out of all the suicides I personally responded to in an Official capacity, very few involved a gun, my cousin used a bolt action hunting rifle.

I saved a attempted suicide, a lady, from jumping in the path of an N Train one night, I heard CD ask any available unit respond forthwith, and I happened to be right there on foot, ran up the stairs, the on duty clerk pointed me to the North stair case, and buzzed me through, and there was Matty, a social worker, and she leaped, I lunged and grabbed her, dug in and swang her around back onto the platform, to everyones cheers and applause.

Somebody handed me my Motorola P-200 radio off the floor, and I called CD, for a Bus and an RMP,....

I hear lots of statistics being quoted, yet I sincerely doubt many of thosr people quoting said statistics have ever responded to actual suicides.

"Gun control" is a meaningless phrase. What specific gun control laws reduce suicide? What rope control do you suggest to slow down the epidemic increase in hanging/suffocation suicides?

I know of no research into rope control. Gun control has lots of research. But scientific studies don't matter....right?
