It's a close call, but Trump's foreign policy is a definite candidate for more stupid.

We live in a global society that intersects politically, socially, culturally, economically, etc.

 

It is economics.

It is economics that governments remain sovereign to maintain worker's wage levels.

It is economics that governments protect citizen's jobs.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that there are 27 MILLION legal and illegal immigrant workers in our workforce. That's 17-percent of the ENTIRE WORKFORCE.

With a little training in economics, it should be easy to see WHY wages have stagnated for decades.

And Trump seems to be one of the few that can see this. Originally, immigration laws were enacted to protect the American workers.

"Unemployment" numbers don't show the true picture that SHOULD include "discouraged" workers among others, that haven't actively sought employment. They are no longer considered "participants" in the labor force.

In addition, low "unemployment" does show that WAGES will rise again as employers offer more money to hire people away from other companies. They don't have to do that when MORE immigrants come into the workforce.

That said, we need to stop the unlimited migration to a welfare nation. It's much more stupid to allow that than to build a wall. Personally, I think our best bet would be to set up a better version of eVerify, and harshly punish any company that hires illegals, as well as deporting any illegal caught working in the U.S. In addition, don't let illegals collect any sort of welfare. We need to get rid of the incentives for them to want to live here illegally.

 

So why go on about a wall?
