Interesting. The "BS" I asked about was something you yourself highlighted!

As I said, you may want to reflect on the second quote in your sig line if you want to continue to misinterpret my post. If it's intentional, I understand, if it's not, can't help with that. It would take too much time and may likely still be ineffective.

The lesson here is that you don't want to respond. Likely you're embarrassed. So there, no one expects anything of you and you don't have to use a made up excuse to avoid discussing something you're not capable of discussing.

    You're off the hook!

Ahhh, finally the strawman exposes itself! It could use some serious work.

    Fake News.

The census changed the way they asked the race and origin questions and the way they coded the answer resulting in a massive "increase" in hispanic identification. You cannot legitimately compare the 2010 results with the 2020 results.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ calls for the elimination of all racial preferences. I echo her call.

Can you provide a link for what your post claims that I have in bold please? Thanks in advance.

    Here's more:

What you'll notice is with that stat that if they go into any detail they will describe the white population as "white alone" rather than just "white".

The number of Hispanics that identify as two or more races rose from 3 million in 2010 to 20 million in 2020. Those aren't new people, rather, a good number of folks, with the way the wording of the questions were altered and the choices changed, changed how they identified. The way a question is asked absolutely has an impact on how it's answered.

    Here is the 2010 form

    And the 2020 form:

With the Elizabeth Warren genetic testing debacle many Hispanics realized that “American Indian” =/= to “United States Indian.” Many West Hemisphere Hispanics have First People blood such as Mayan, Aztec, Apache, Comanche and so forth. There was no border in the Southwest that seperated what is now the Southwest US from Northern Mexico and the territories of the native tribes traversed both, routinely.

Hispanics from Mexico and Central America have both European and Native American ancestors. At home they use the term “Mestizo”, we never have, but with the clarification many more Hispanics chose more than one race on question 9.

There are not fewer white people, or even fewer people who identify as white, just fewer people who check only the white box on their census form. Which frankly is more accurate.

"The census shows 26 million Hispanics identify as a race other than Asian, white, black, Native American, Hawaiian or Alaskan Native, and yet claim not to be a mixture of several races." So just what is that “other race”?

    https://www.econlib.org/does-identity-change/

Personally I don't believe in race. There's only one race, the human race.

99.99% chance both of your stories are a myth.

But you are certainly free to post your bible verses backing up your claim.

Yes but it has little to do with what I highlighted in bold per your post. You are moving the goal posts away from what you wrote which maybe a skewed version of interpretation or simply your opinion:

What makes you think that the design was NOT simply to improve accuracy?

I think this is more accurate.

You're claiming "skewed" or "simply my opinion" in a very dismissive manner. Of course it's my opinion. What the hell do you think your opinion is?

What do you think is the inference to the best explanation?

    i) 17 million Hispanics magically appeared in 10 years?
    and
ii) A similar number of "whites" disappeared when the category was changed from "white" to "white alone"?

If you want to argue that you can directly compare "white' = "white alone" and therefore 17 million hispanics just appeared while a similar number of whites just disappeared, be my guest.

I also went to a great deal of effort at your request and you pissed all over it, so I'll file that for future efficiency and next time tell you to do your own damn research.

Yes, but where you placed what I quoted and bolded hid (intentional or not) the fact that this was an unqualified opinion and your post made it look like that was the intent of the 2010 census vs the 2020 census. Nevertheless, now that's been cleared up.

You inferred erroneously, I implied no such thing. Further my opinion is immensely qualified as it is the inference to the best explanation.

What's your opinion, how does it differ, and why do you think it fits the evidence better?

I already posted my opinion if you would take the time to read my posts instead of reflexing, it's in bold BTW:
Also, quoting my post but editing it can change the context, I would prefer if you would not do that as it selective. That's why I use bold.

I just searched the entire topic for posts by you including the word census and found no such thing. Post number please.

No. I was asking a different question:

The OP makes the following claim: "the white population dropped for the first time on record."

I suspect the difference is largely the changes in the form not the population.

The ELECTION results CONFIRM the Census RESULTS.

    Facts matter!

And I am saying that the form may now be more accurate due to the changes. Accuracy on this form is important.
