So two men man walk into a bar and sit at a table. Two waitresses hand them the menu.
    They are quite pretty.
One guy says, "How about we chat these girls up?"
his friend says, "Can't, we are both married with kids! Beside, these girls aren't a day over sixteen
    years old!"
"Well, I am going to try. Young girls are my personal preference, sex on the side is more stimulating.
You are either sexually attracted to them or you are not. There is no choosing. Predisposition is not
a choice and I am disposed to cheating."

    .
Christian POV is not about things like homosexual sex. It is ANYTHING and EVERYTHING outside
    of monogamous, heterosexual, married life.

So you think that its always a choice?

Western Muslims don't make their convictions known or promote them. So they can largely get away with it. If they were as outspoken as us Christians, I'm sure that they would receive more intolerance from the left.

It's a perverse lifestyle choice pure and simple.

    Interesting thought process.
Why would anyone make that "choice"?
It would seem to be a very difficult way to live even with the higher level of acceptance today. There still seems to be a lot of people who are not very tolerant.

Maybe because there is actually ZERO science that supports the idea that homosexuality is genetic!

The rationale here is: a certain trait is genetic, therefor it's perfectly acceptable
to behave in accordance with these genes.
ie Homosexuality is at least partially genetic - it is okay to be a homosexual.

    But.....

    Violence is genetic
    Rape is genetic
    Cheating is genetic

The bible speaks of our two natures, that which is spiritual and that which
is natural. The whole message of the bible is that we have a human nature
    which we must overcome.

    Because it's not a choice!?!?
I know the LGBT community doesn't like my example but... do people with downs syndrome choose to have it?
Homosexuality is something a person is born with. It is not a choice like obesity.

Right! And ADHD is a lifestyle choice too.

Sorry, are you saying that there is or isn't science that supports it?

That's a non sequitur because you're confusing (as you say) unwanted illnesses with spontaneous personal acts of unnatural sexual craving. Chalk and cheese?

I'm not sure why you directed this comment or what relevance it has to anything I’ve said on the issue.

“Political opinion” is apparently referenced in Northern Ireland law specifically, presumably as a consequence of its history and the frankly messy binding of religion and politics in the province. It falls within the same law as religious belief but was (rightly) explicitly excluded as relevant in the case. The ruling in this case also mentions that “political opinion” isn’t defined in the law (which sadly isn’t surprising) so someone could make a claim based on pretty much anything but the chance of a claim defending the right to racism wouldn’t get very far in the courts.

And that's why why you have a police force, plus a huge army of security
personnel and millions of security cameras over-watching you. We all act
    like animals now.

Absolutely. You are either a creation of God or a creation of the natural world.
(though the bible makes it clear we are both - God commanded the seas to
    bring forth life.)

Are you saying that there is some evidence to support that it is 100% genetic?

Purely based on your location. There's only about 10 non-Americans on this forum, so in order to get the insight of anyone other than an American, tagging is required for efficiency.

    Why do you say "rightly?"

Where did you read that? And why is it sadly not surprising?

As I said, I expect the “political opinion” element of that law was intended to cover the unique political environment in NI, where there is a lot of cross-over between religion and politics and none of that was relevant in this case.

Your article had a link to the actual judgement. I always click through to get as close to primary sources as possible.
