Unhinged meaning anyone who dares criticize trump? There is a process to revoke clearances if someone becomes unfit. If there's justifiable cause then Brennans should lose his clearance but it appears in this case that no process was followed.

    :roflol::roflol::roflol:
    umm what?

I said: Requiring Americans to redo the investigation process with a current clearance would further jam up a process that already takes a year or more to complete for no benefit at all

    And you replied:
Uh I think we're done here. You need a nap. Don't forget your blankee and your bottle.

Tell us, how does lacking a security clearance impact one's ability to speak freely? Crap, if so, the vast majority of us have no voice.

Nice flamebait at the end... Sorry calling for the death penalty of a President over feelings and not evidence shows you are unhinged ( you in this case is Brennan or anything that feels like he does)

What are you saying? If an intelligence official criticises Trump, he or she could lose their security clearance. They shouldn't unless
they played a minor role while employed.

I think it goes a step further in that it shows that criticizing the potus will not be tolerated. Brennan losing a clearance may not be a huge deal to him (or it may? I guess it depends on his future plans) but to someone else who might speak out, maybe someone who does literally need their clearance this would provide plenty of incentive to keep quiet.
Any way you slice it, this was a very bad precedent to set and a dark day for liberty.

What level of clearance have you received and maintained? The price tag you trying to apply makes no sense, a drop in the bucket when security is the goal compared to other programs we dump money in. The security rosters need to be purged frequently and are. This is a norm, people go on and are taken off...no bigs.

Nothing is stopping idiots from shooting the mouth off on camera or paper, No man is above the law/ rules and the rule is POTUS can giveth and taketh with security. Every Prez has done this and will continue to do this regardless of your opinion wanting to be policy.

Your feelings have no validity. Security is and always will be the the goal, even if you think you are important and drink from the fountain of self righteous.

This is all ego, the kind that DC produces once in the top tier of most agencies.

I dunno. I just think a guy can't get into a personal "thing" with any president. Obviously EVERYTHING is personal for Trump. THAT was the beginning of Brennan's dislike - when Trump gave that speech at CIA headquarters in front of the wall dedicated to employees who gave their lives, and gave an "it's all about me" speech, even while the Russiagate story started to come out.

But, just as obviously, Trump will try to quite/silence any dissent because the Russiagate issue continues to lurk out there in regards to pretty much any foreign policy that he engages in. So, there I agree with you.

But I think criticism has to go to specific actions. Like meeting with Vald in secret for two hours, just hours after the DOJ levied the indictments spelling out exactly how Russia hacked the election.

Consider the cost nation wide. The norm is not that people go on and are taken off. The norm is that when people leave a position their clearance goes from "active" to "current". And it stays that way until it expires. This is the norm, I have a feeling you know this though. So, the question is why you have such a need to defend trump that you would distort the truth?
One who holds an "active" clearance might disagree with you.

It's telling that you would allude to scripture when evoking trump. Was it intentional?

My position is grounded in logic.

You deserve yourself and your special logic......all this deflection is not necessary. Care to answer the question of what security clearance you have and maintain? Just because you say people do not go on and off security rosters makes it true. Every day people are put on and taken off depending on need to know, job or mission.

Who the hell said anything about a security roster? Why do you keep distorting? And I've held both secret and TS clearances in my career. What difference does that make?

Because removing a security clearance does not hinder one's speech.

If you claim it still does then justify it.

Well, if a guy works for 25 years or so to protect the US, and is not paid as much as he might have gotten, I'm not griping if Apple or somebody makes it good for him.

But you just can't get into a personal tit for tat with the potus ... no matter who the potus is. I mean with Trump EVERYTHING is personal, but still .... he is in the office. You gotta respect that.

Thank you. No distortion at all. Did you understand the rules and guidelines and abide by them once you signed the documents? Did any agency approve of you going on TV to shoot your mouth off about any Prez while receiving compensation?

Brennan among others do not understand what courtesy means in this context. If you hold or held a top level position and call any POTUS treasonous you better have facts since people look at you differently than Joe Snuffy. Most people think since you are in a position of knowledge you must have something other than empty words. Ego and emotions are a bitch sometimes, and this is all about a washed up ego that turned political No one person is more important than the security of our nation. You and I would be thrown out with the same behavior, correct?

Air Force? Not that it matters. Thank you for your service.

Absolutely and do respect it. What has happened is everything has been corrupted by political ideology with security taking a back seat, shame really when some go to jail while elitist walk and talk.

I would not have thought that I would lose my clearance if I went on TV and said what Brennan said. It was only hyperbole, I think.

I do think people look at Brennan differently but because of the positions he's held not because he holds a current clearance (or not lol).
You're on the money about ego, unfortunately. This probably nothing but a pissing contest between a couple of narcissists. Still, the precedent is terrible and it has the potential to suppress dissent from anyone who does rely on their clearance. It's just bad. Trump should have just stuck to his MO and called Brennan a poopy pants wuss commie on twitter.

Yep Air Force and then the ABL program as a contractor, and thank you. Are you still serving?
