I have no idea. I've only had cake in Sweden. I am not too big of a fan of cake anyways. I thought cake was for kids.
I think I have never ever had cake "just because". Cake is for very special occassions only such as birthdays and whatever. Having cake on a normal day is not okay imo.
I don't make cakes very often either, but I do sometimes, and sometimes I will buy store bought cake and eat that. I love cake! It is sweet and delicious!
If you wait til July 14, you can excuse the buying of the cake with celebrating the Bastille Day. I wish I could bake. It's a very useful skill.
I don't need an excuse. Lol. That is so weird. I eat what I want when I want to. Why should I let someone else tell me or shame me for eating what I want? I'm not overweight.
You are doing it the wrong way - my grandmother always says "before picking a girl, make sure she knows how to cook and clean." However, I suspect this is her way of asking "why the f- are you still single?"
Probably not an ingredient. More likely to be the varieties of cake preferred in America. Having said that, I've seen American recipes for chocolate cake where milk chocolate and white sugar were suggested. I can't even begin to imagine how bad that would taste. Any decent choc cake must contain DARK chocolate and brown or dark brown sugar.
Fair enough. It is just me then. I used to love cake, pastries and ice cream as a child, but not so much anymore. Obviouxly, I still like it, but I don't love it.
I like white cake with chocolate frosting. White cake is less dense and I like that kind of cake texture the best.
Have you ever had taco lasagna? I made some of that a couple of weeks ago. Really good stuff. Much better than a regular taco.
Well, first of all it only uses the egg whites and usually you would use cake flour instead of all purpose flour. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/classic-white-cake-recipe-1907345
