Good riddance to the hateful Cockneys who f'ed off to Spain then innit.
If hateful Cornish natives were to disappear, no one would miss them either.
There's a reason why Costa Del Sol doesn't appeal to me, and that reason is too many British ex pat Cockneys who f'ed off when London got too brown for them making the Costa Del Sol a part of Essex almost.
They wanted to 'stay with there own' so now they're Spanish; can't help but feel sorry for the poor bastards but, no one forced them to go, so, it's on them.
They just wanted to be with other people from their own race; I've got no time for people like that.

..I mean its view point...it still doesn't address the desire to maintain community. I mean its going to get worse for these places - and I'm also going to add to the problem. COVID has caused a massive re-think about how office workers work.... I used to commute to the City everyday...every fooking day for decades but now I don't need to! I'm sitting at home with my terminals remote working and I don't need to be in the office. tens of thousands of city workers will not be coming back to their London offices.
I am now going to up-sticks and bugger off to parts much nicer than North Kent! I mean its friggin chocker here...I'm thinking of Herefordshire or Gloucestershire, a mate is moving to just outside Exeter and if he's needed in the office he can fly to City airport - cheaper than the train apparently. So all these people are going to put an even great strain on the "shires". I can understand their viewpoint its skewing the cost of living and the ability of locals to remain local.

I'm going to Whitby this year for this first time ever, seems nice.
However, where I live, if I flew to Hong Kong or Tokyo, New York City or Los Angeles, I could land in London and use my Oyster Card on the Piccadilly Line; no having to arrive in England then connect for me, it's just a case of 'land and go home', so, it has its perks.
Plus the embassies are here if I ever need a visa.
The US Embassy you need to go for a visa to work there, Japan you need a visa just to go there as a tourist; and other countries too, all have their embassies here.
It's convenient; just make your appointment if you have to, and go from home or work.
