Nah, I completed Trump years ago. But it wasn't play doh. I made it out of the delusions of the right wing illiterates.

Don't tell me you really think Trump is a right wing Christian Conservative. I mean granted he seems to be totally immoral, but that is perhaps his only right wing qualification.

I know that's why it was set up like that (well, not based upon preventing illegals from changing the result, but that's largely the xenophobic myth of our day). And besides voting was based upon being a white male land owner originally. Is that really better? I understand why they did it but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it. It is slightly worse than a democratic republic and I already know what would work better than that or could improve upon what we have now. Does all that flag waving distract from your critical thinking?

It's hard to say what Trump is or how he'll govern. It should be an interesting four years.

People who happen to live in Ohio and Florida are a minority? If so, we should get 20% of California democrats to move there instead of Calexit. Then our votes will be worth more.

Im not flag waving at all. Im pointing out absolute facts.
Lets test your view to see if it holds up to a simple valid on point question
If I gathered enough people to vote in a democracy to imprison people with your view, would you agree with that vote outcome if it went my way or would you prefer a more constitutional republic kinda vote process?

That has everything to do with constitutional protections and nothing to do with the electoral college. ANY system should have a recognition of basic rights as a foundation, democratic or not.

To be honest I was really surprised Trump won. I didn't want either one of them. But the election is over, Trump is going to be our next president. Time to move on and accept it.

WRONG. In a democracy you can vote out protections. That's what a democracy is and is precisely why we aren't a democracy, we are a form of democracy that you just espoused without knowing it.. too funny.

You're just twisting words now. I never advocated for pure democracy. I advocated for directly electing the president (democratic election of a representative) rather than using the electoral college. Constitutional protections are the part that the founders got right in a general sense. And nobody - not a president nor a majority of citizens, are supposed to be able to override it. I agree with that part. And to be frank I would not use democratic processes at all to choose leaders in an ideal system, but democratically electing them is better than giving people from Florida more power.

Actually no, the majority of Americans voted "in favor" of liberal values. Trump did not have a majority. And with that, if the so called "alt right" wants to govern as though they had a supreme majority as your post arrogantly suggests, then it won't last very long

The electoral college is part of the Constitution. It's part of the federalist system, and it's the states that elect the president, not the people. The people in each state vote for how their electors should vote. There's really nothing undemocratic about it.

I want to see the future president of this country have some dignity and self respect. Stop acting like a spoiled 12 yr old whenever he feels slighted would be great.

The part of the constitution that should endure forever is the recognition of certain rights. Processes are more democratic when an outcome is determined by every person having the right to vote and each vote counting the same. When states are winner take all for the electoral college, that means that a vote in a closely divided state will count more than a less divided state. This arbitrarily gives votes in purple states more power and is why the winner of the popular vote is not the electoral winner. Using the electoral college is less democratic than directly electing the president by popular vote. It's unfair to people in states like California, and we should leave if it stays this way. This isn't the first time.

Yes, I'm sure we will be threatened by the Left. But that's not exactly free enterprise, capitalism or the home of the free and the brave. No, that kind of behavior I'm pretty sure is akin to Nazism(Night of Long Knives.). Over here, those of us who respect the election and our new president will support him. Shouldn't you guys be busy mobilizing tanks and stuff to take on the Russians?

You know, since we're no longer motivated to do it for you.

It's absolutely fair. Either that, or each State's vote should be weighed accordingly. If Trump wasn't successful on the East coast, we're talking about ONE State(your beloved Cali) outweighing the ENTIRE Mid-west belt. That's insane. California's votes are not proportional.
