It isn't equal to start behind others. Understanding what makes up others allows you to see POTENTIAL.
The aim is to offer EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to reach POTENTIAL.
Which is very different from reaching "equity".

Your thèses has à long history of attempts to make assumptions about others, that they are inherently not as potentially able as white people and are therefore given an unfair leg up.
Look around you. My world is full of black lawyers, doctors, surgeons , researchers and students business people , judges, writers.

I know this is late, several months late but better late than never for me to answer it. 'Social Justice Warriors' need a cause to fight for, they need to cite something unjust to justify an action that they want to take. In the Liberal case, Liberals win elections by creating victims and boogeymen. When's the last time you saw a positive election from a Democrat? Arguably Obama's first run in 2008, but even Obama then would compare McCain to a Third Bush Term. Negativity has been promoted by the Democrats(and yes, inb4 Trump he obviously participated too) and so we can expect a very nasty 2024 campaign. It is what it is.

It's almost got me thinking: What is the point? In the minds of Liberals, conservatives can do no right and in the mind of conservatives, vice versa. Politics is an endless game of hot potato instead of taking the best of each other's ideas.

It's not as simple as that. There are times when racism is prominent in history, such as the Holocaust, the Jim Crow Laws, Slavery in the United States, and then there are other factors that become prominent such as education, disability at an early age, home ownership, etc. You have to apply to the situation at hand and not with a broad, painted brush.

 

So why did DeSantis ban CRT in the classroom under HB7/HB1557 then this year? The reason, that he like other conservatives believe, wrongly I might add, that CRT is being taught in the classroom.

Here is a DeSantis quote, "Let me be clear: there’s no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory," when he was originally proposing the Florida Civic Seal of Excellence. But that is a different thread altogether because it appears that DeSantis Florida Civic Seal of Excellence is propelling Christian Nationalism.

They are being taught, but in history, and in specific historical events, taking racism out nullifies what truly happened, such as the Holocaust, the Jim Crow Laws, etc.
