You're ignoring the incubation period. By the time somebody shows symptoms and pops positive on a test, who knows how many they already infected. The only point of test kits is for statistics. It won't prevent the spread.
Yes, I’m aware. That’s why knowing who’s infected is good information. It allows us to know if someone is infected and make medical recommendations based on that knowledge.
Those are CDC tests only. See the fine print? That graph does not reflect tests conducted at state, local, private and commercial labs. Now that 4 million tests have been distributed to state labs, CDC is doing very little "hands on" testing. State labs are doing testing, and the CDC is qualifying more private commercial labs every day to do testing. You don't expect a handful of employees at CDC to conduct 4 million tests a week do you?
Sounding like there’s some interest in suppressing statistic related to the virus. Why would that be?
Who is advocating suppressing statistics? The left secretly wants this to get bad for political gain. They are already hedging their bets. Its disgusting. My point... test kits won't prevent the spread.
Testing it good for diagnosis but it isn't a reliable way to count how many people have had the virus. That horse left the barn a long time ago.
Gotta' love the criticism from people who are not following the plot of what is actually happening in "real life". The number of confirmed cases has shot up over 100 per day because we just got 4 million tests out to labs. We had an initial delay in getting a test which would pass the FDA, yes, but we're up and running now. The rhetoric is about to change to panic over how many cases we will start to see now that we have testing. The government has been very transparent in telling us to expect those increases.
No desire to see it get worse. Which is why tests, among other things, are critical. Tell me, where does your expertise come from that you know more than our medical professionals?
You might want to read the *.... Then ask yourself why the "Business Insider" made such a chart ( its called lying by omission) Then ask yourself why you rushed to post such a chart ( its called agenda and propaganda)
So someone who has no basic reason to believe they have been exposed, should still be tested? Am I the only one who sees an issue with that?
They've told us already that your doctor probably won't authorize a test unless you are symptomatic. I expect that millions of idiots are trying to call their doctor's offices today for a "random" swab....and being told no.
Testing will not stop the spread. It is widespread in the community. It can only be stopped by running its natural course
Okay. 1.1 million have been delivered, 600k shipped yesterday, and a total of 4 million will be available by Friday. After that, we are expecting a manufacturing capacity of 4 million tests per week from 2 manufactures. "About 1.1 million tests were available to labs nationwide on Tuesday, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Another 600,000 tests were shipped Monday. By week's end, 4 million tests will be available nationwide, Fauci said in a Tuesday morning interview with NPR."
Because you start quarantining individuals for reasons that will affect nothing. Have you not seen the economic impact yet?
