On what basis do you think the increase in immigrants from S. America trying to get in to the US due to conditions in those countries would not have had an impact on those numbers under any administration? The argument is about whether Obama favored an "open border" policy or whether he favored enhanced border security and had a factually supported record to indicate he took border security seriously. The evidence supports the latter.

Yes, the priority of dealing with criminals is well understood. Perhaps if the House had passed the Immigration Reform Act of 2013 the resources would have been available to enhance border security. But alas, the Repubs wanted a campaign issue to use rather than do something about immigration.

I for one, would welcome a serious discussion of "right wing mythology," but it wouldn't hurt to be specific as to why myth you are trying to bust. As far as I can tell, you want to bust a myth having to do with immigration, but which "myth" specifically? Open borders? That's a vague term. Why don't you define what you mean by that and see if any right wingers agree with you.
