    Popular revolt?
    By whom?
    Led by whom?
    Against whom?
    With what objective?
    With what means?

Sounds like an insurrectiony threat to me.

Imagine for a moment - and try to be honest - what you people who are about to make all kinds of excuses would say if the reversal of Heller, at al were imminent, and gun rights organization started talking about "popular revolt".

What are the "popular revolt" gangs going to use as weapons if not guns?

Libs get violent when they know there's little to no chance someone will respond in like and kind.

This sounds more like a threat of violence to me. Can’t debunk the constitutional right so he’ll just threaten violence

If he were a Republican, surely the Dems and liberals would agree.
    But... crickets.

The reversal of Heller would be a great start.. let's get to it...

But my guess would be certain states will start officially ignoring ridiculous SCOTUS rulings, much as many in the population are already doing..

    Interesting.
Does this mean red states get to ignore ridiculous USSC rulings they don't like?

So... what's the point of the federal judiciary, if you can ignore it?

I lost the point of a SCOTUS in 2016, when a seat was held for a different President to fill.. been a joke to me since then

I doubt that will happen, but it is more political hyperbole since there was nothing actionable by his comments. However, it will show lessening support for SCOTUS though. The question really is which gun proposals will SCOTUS strike down. Enhanced background checks, gun stocks, and some others may pass, but anything that bans a firearm other than military weapons, is not going to pass muster with SCOTUS though.

Depends on how serious the court is with "consistent with this nation's historical tradition of firearm regulation".
Late 19th century, the only real regulations on firearms was they were forbidden to certain people based on the race and sex -- criteria that would, today, be thrown out on 14th amendment grounds alone.

The anti-gun loons know Bruen is a dagger on its way to their heart -- they're pissed, they're scared, and they are apparently ready to fight like hell to get their way.

they may be pissed yes, given the fact we are doing nothing to solve the crime violence in one way or the other that goes beyond banning certain firearms. Scared, not of gun laws, but for their safety in some aspects and people are starting to change their habits much the same after 9/11 changed a lot of people's habits.

And yet, every time there is a mass shooting, what do they scream for? Bans on guns.
Those who seek to ban guns as a means to prevent violent crime are not motivated by a desire to reduce violent crime - indeed, violent crime is a means to an end.
If that were the case, their proposals would not wholly consists on more and more unnecessary, ineffective and unconstitutional limits of the rights of the law abiding.

The justices are not elected so I'm pretty sure that public opinion is irrelevant to them

Basically. The military won't follow orders to be turned on civilians. Most democrats don't have guns, and the ones that do can't shoot a lick. The hold pistols sideways while staring in the mirror.

Don't agree, but it is an incitement, I agree. Just like Humpty's incitement on Jan 6.

He should immediately walk that back.
