EXACTLY. Would we make demands that they feed a kid rabbit food if he/she claims they are a rabbit? No, we'd get the kid the mental help they need. The same should be for those who see a penis and can't figure out what that means to have one.

 

If the principal wanted to respect the rights of all of the students at his school, then he should allow this student to use the faculty-only restroom facilities. (Many schools have faculty-only restrooms.) ONE student using faculty-only facilities would cater to this "special" student while respecting the girls in the school by not forcing them to share with the "special" student. I think that the faculty can deal with just one student sharing their facilities.

Problem solved.

 

the 6 yo child in the other state, the school tried that and the parents said it made their boy (that thinks he's a girl) stand out, so they sued for discrimination.


So that's been tried already.

If the principal was concerned at all about the rights of all students, he wouldn't have entertained this nonsense to begin with.

 

Until he absoulutly positive he should take his pees in the boys room. And when he is sure...he should still take his pees in the boys room.

 

Nobody seems to be asking if there really is psychological damage in requiring a boy to use the facilities where everyone has the same plumbing. I'm no psychologist, but I'm a rational, educated person and it's just good sense that no boy is going to be hurt by being required to use the boys' bathroom.

Here's a grand idea - let's remove M and W from school's restrooms and lockers altogether and let all pupils chose where they wanna go? Would boys like it? Remembering myself at that age, you betcha. Would girls like it? Not if their fathers have a say in it.

I can't even blame the admin here... they were stuck between a rock and a hard place. They are in a job that if they don't pander, they could be out of a job within 10 months and not have to be told a reason. they tried to appease, and it didn't work.... then, it's out of his hands.

 

In this case, the "safe" route would have been to protect the rights of every other student, particularly the girls. I don't know what this administrator was motivated by in deliberately allowing the sexual violation of adolescent girls in their place of safety and privacy. MOD EDIT - RULE 3 This defies all other explanation.

 

he did try by offering use of the faculty restroom for the child.... but that was 'different' and isolated the kid the parents argued.... He never wanted the child to use the other gender restroom, that was only after the lawsuit and court order
