He's the arch typical neocon. Never met a war they didn't like or a defense contractor they wouldn't pay money to.

On the topic of war Trump has been firm. He prefers not to engage and in that position has not wavered. Why he ever hired Bolton in the first place is a mystery to me.
I would think it would be impossible for any self respecting alt-leftie to disagree with Trump's firing of this man although there is no accounting for malcontents with TDS.

LOL. I believe Trump got Bolton to leave, by bringing up meetings with Iran and the Taliban. That's not Bolton's style. I'm thinking John quit. He would have done better under a warmonger like Obama than Trump. I bet John wished he could have been in on the decapitation of Libya and the destabilization of the entire African continent. That would have been more Bolton's style.

When he isn't threatening nuclear retaliation over Twitter and telling Congress he doesn't need their approval to go to war, of when he's not escalating military strikes, sure.
    1) Not an alt-lefty or even a regular lefty; I'm on the right of you and the President on economics, for one thing, though I understand that Trumpists on the forum have trouble comprehending libertarianism and/or economic conservatism 2) I agreed with Bolton's firing and have explicitly said so; not sure why you feel the need to fake that part 3) Ah, yes, criticizing the Almighty Executive in any way is a fake "derangement." Who could forget that part?

They hated Bolton for decades. They will fall in love with him now. He will write books and make millions selling the trashing of Trump to bed wetters.

. . . you do realize that Trump explicitly supported military intervention in Libya . . . yes? Sure, he lied about it later, so maybe that's what you are going for.

Where was Trump in 2011? I didn't know he had the kind of intelligence needed to have an opinion that mattered. I thought the decapitation of Libya was all about oil that some NATO allies who didn't pay their fair share desperately needed.

Duly noted, I will add you to the long list of Trump haters and anti Trump posters that claim they are not a democrat or have never voted for one. We even have one that claims to be a registered republican yet thousands upon thousands of virulent hateful created threads makes me somewhat of a non-believer in his/her/alphabet's motives.

I appreciate the dodge. I love how the "Nothing they said or did before they were President matters" excuse only applies to the Snowflake Princess.

More fake responses. I never claimed to have never voted for a Democrat. I've voted for Democrats and Republicans because I'm not a straight ticket voter. I'm third party and I ultimately vote my conscience. But I appreciate all of the desperate dodges. I agree, his actions are inexcusable, which is why his cult always resorts to desperately trying to change the subject rather than address the facts.

I hate Trump's actions. Congrats on being unable to address them.

I asked a simple question. Where was Trump when he was actively supporting the decapitation of Libya? Did he have his own air force? Did he need oil?

Hillary lost her first try at Prez because she was too much of a war monger for liberals.

It was a dumb@$$ move to have hired Bolton in the first place. Pointing that out doesn't make any of us a hypocrite.

In opposition to his own advisors, his vice president, and Congressional leaders of his own party, Trump admitted that inviting terrorists who had harbored Al Qaeda to Camp David a few days before the anniversary of 9/11 was his idea and his idea alone.

"We had a meeting scheduled. It was my idea and it was my idea to terminate it. I didn't even discuss it with anyone else," Trump said on the White House lawn where he usually holds his news conferences.

Apparently, Trump's NSA, John Bolton, was vehemently opposed to Trump's screwy idea to bring terrorists to Camp David. Trump fired him today. It is not a coincidence that Trump disclosed this secret meeting on Saturday, and, by Monday, Bolton is gone. Discretion is not one of Bolton's long suits.

It isn't the first time prominent members of Trump's foreign policy team have quit or been fired. It has become a rather common occurrence, actually.

Rex Tillerson was trying to forge an agreement whereby the Korean Peninsula would be freed of nuclear weapons. Trump told him he was wasting his time. Tillerson became the shortest lived secstate in the history of the U.S.

The DNI, Dan Coats, was fired because he didn't always provide intelligence Trump liked.

Mike Flynn lasted less than a month as Trump's NSA. He is now a convicted felon facing jail time for lying to the FBI.

Flynn was replaced by General H.R. McMaster. He didn't last long, and Bolton replaced him.

General John Kelly quit as Trump's chief of staff in December 2018.

General James Mattis resigned in December in protest because Trump foolishly wanted to withdraw American troops from Syria, leaving the ground to Russia. American troops are still in Syria.

Trump fired Kirstjen Nielson, DHS secretary.

Patrick Shanahan didn't even get a chance to serve. Trump nominated him to replace Mattis, then pulled the plug on his nomination.

So, working for Trump in the areas of foreign policy or our national security can create problems in terms of one's employment longevity.

As a candidate for President, Trump had no foreign policy experience and no military experience.

    Putin loves it.

Just because Bolton has advocated military action doesn't mean he is a "war monger".

You've been saying this for years and have never offered one bit of evidence in support of such a claim.

One can presume that at this point that you're unable to do so.
