Sorry he doesn't need Biden investigated. The bad publicity over this that Biden accrues daily is more than sufficient to derail his candidacy. Barely top five in Iowa worse in New Hampshire. Biden is pretty much toast without any investigation whatever of his clear violation of the emoluments clause ever having been investigated.

Dirty Donald certainly didn't do himself ANY FAVOR when his tweets intimidating the ambassador were done as she was on the witness stand. He probably just added the charge of witness intimidation to a growing list of charges.

Yet Trump asked for Biden to be investigated which is unethical. We will not agree here but I appreciate your perspective.

Sorry no it isn't. There is nothing unethical to ask for corruption even of a potential political rival to be investigated. Insisting on a specific outcome regardless of evidence would be unethical.

Democrats want to encroach on the separation of powers by dictating what the President, by his constitutional duty, should do. The democrats claim Trump is shredding the Constitution when they are the ones railing against the electoral college and threaten to pack the courts to gain the power they lust for.

So when the democrats were concerned with Hunter’s involvement with a corrupt Ukrainian company what’s different?

Unfortunately for Trump...Biden is the ONLY person he wanted investigated...and he was demanding that it be done very publicly

Clearly that was to damage a political rival

This thing goes a lot deeper than trashing Biden....This is about engineering a scheme to steal $100s of billions more from Ukraine like Manafort was involved in before he got nailed....Trump and Guiliani were going after the doe re mi.......

Just how dumb is our President?

Trump's order to retreat in Syria betrayed a key ally who suffered 11,000 casualties in quelling the ISIS terrorist threat. Trump's retreat order facilitated the Turkish invasion of Syria and the attempt by the Turkish dictator, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to annihilate the Kurds who he regards as terrorists.

Trump enabled Erdogan to kill hundreds of Kurds and causing thousands more to abandon their homes, becoming refugees.

While desperate Republicans are trying vainly to defend Trump from his own incriminating statements, guess who Trump invites to the White House.

    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

"Trump’s mistake in Syria is the unexpected ‘lottery win’ that further strengthened Moscow’s position in the Middle East and undermined America’s prestige as a rational political player and a reliable partner,” raved Mikhail Rostovsky in his article for the Russian newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets.

Kremlin-funded Russian state television has openly sided with Trump in the impeachment inquiry.

The President of the United States committed witness intimation in real time by assailing the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, while she was being questioned by members of the House of Representatives. "Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad," Trump wrote.

Another close associate of Trump's is convicted of a felony. Roger Stone, 67, was convicted in federal court of seven felonies for obstructing the congressional inquiry, lying to investigators under oath and trying to block the testimony of a witness whose account would have exposed his lies. Jurors deliberated for a little over seven hours before convicting him on all counts. Together, the charges carry a maximum prison term of 50 years.

Stone joins Trump's campaign manager, Trump's deputy campaign manager, Trump's former NSA, Trump's former personal lawyer, Trump's campaign foreign policy advisor on the list felons who have worked for Trump.

How in the world did this man become our President?

The last thing the actor turned novice president and his ambassadors will do is antagonize the unpredictable Trump. His country desperately needs the military aid the U.S. provides to fight off the Russians.

Interesting that Trump delayed that aid for 55 days after he signed off on it.

A few days before the July 25 call, Trump stopped the military aid to Ukraine that he had approved earlier. During the call, Zelensky said his country was interested buying Javelin missiles

From the transcript provided by the White House, Trump replied, "I would like you to do us a favor though. The other thing, there's a lot of.talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me."

Do I have to draw you a picture?

Democrats assured everyone that the Mueller investigation was daily unearthing new revelations that would form the building blocks for Trump's inevitable downfall. Democrats were so certain of this, that they mocked anyone who didn't agree. Democrats did the same during the presidential election of 2016. They were certain that Trump could not win. Not surprisingly, Democrats were 100% wrong. They often are. But one thing Democrats never do is admit when they're wrong, let alone reflect on why they were wrong, let alone reconsider their obviously flawed assumptions about the world. Nope, they just keep being wrong over and over again, about almost everything, while making fun of everyone who doesn't share their opinion. Those who express disagreement with or skepticism of Democrat talking points is assumed by Democrats to be stupid, evil, Republican, or some combination of the three.

So, here we are again, with Democrats hyping every little thing that comes out of the impeachment proceedings in the House - hype that only seems important to other Democrats - while assuring everyone that Trump is now doomed. Only, it's obvious that Trump is not doomed. Even if the House votes to impeach Trump, the Senate will never vote to convict Trump of anything. So Trump will remain in office, run for reelection in 2020, and, barring a recession, win reelection against the incredibly weak and dysfunctional Democratic field who said they want to give free healthcare to illegal immigrants. I have little doubt that Democrats will blame their 2020 loss on the Russians again. Blaming others for their own failures is something else that Democrats tend to do. But don't let reality get in the way of your sacred mission, brave Democrats. You never let it stop you before.

The Dems are well aware of the situation in the Senate. They aren't dumb, and, if you assume they are, that's a mistake. They also need the overwhelming support of Americans to impeach and remove Trump, and right now they don't have it.

Very likely they will continue to do what they are doing. Trump makes so many mistakes and can't keep his mouth and twitter shut, a monkey could make him look bad. So, the Dems will just what they are doing right up to next November.

Then Americans will fire Trump's a$$.

    They haven’t touched Trump yet.

But any day now, there’s going to be a “blockbuster” revelation that’s “devastating” to Trump.

    It’s coming. I sense it.

    Any day.

My Dad taught Criminal Procedure in law school.
Can't post them all ( the list and explanation are too long ) https://www.rulesofevidence.org/article-viii/rule-803/

Do you really think that the Judiciary Committee and the committee staff formulating the prosecution of Trump, and hearing these statement and the depositions, do not have an instinct for what they probably can and cannot get through that hearsay rule in a senate trial run by Justice Roberts, as they listen to the testimony?

I am only looking at what they have done and said, not what they are thinking. What they are doing and saying are fundamentally wrong.

No it is not. This is an investigation. Cops do not decide to discard witness statements based on the Hearsay rule. They look for more evidence to substantiate them. You don't have to like the fact there there are differences between what happens in the police station, in the DA's office and what happens in the courtroom. You don't have to like it at all, but you are going to have to live with it. Police investigations are not handcuffed by the rules of evidence with regard to hearsay. They are motivated by them.

Cops don't share their investigation with the rest of the world. So that analogy does not apply.

Oh that's rich coming from you. Cops share whatever they want, whenever they want. If they think 'sharing' will help them build their case, Its just that it rarely will help them, until the preliminary investigation and the depositions are all taken. That way the bad guys don't get their stories in synch. You, on the other hand demand that the police release absolutely everything in real time, so that the bad guys can trade notes and their attorneys can plot and scheme with their clients long before their first interview, to be 'fair!' I know this because you just so posted about an hour ago

As for the prosecution and defense, they too will say to the press whatever will help their client whenever they think it will,- until a judge issues a gag order.

Sorry since the exambassdir only knew the tweet existed after Scuff read it out loud in Chambers it could not have been intended to Intimidate the ambassador. It was also extremely mild by Trump's usual standards.
