But the W. A. I. S. does not have to melt to rapidly increase ocean levels....... it only has to crack and slide........... On Greenland we have seen a lot of lakes form on the surface but soon they make a crack and flow down to the floor of the ice sheets..... this acts as lubrication which set in motion some spectacular cracking and sliding on Greenland back in 2012.......

There is a new paper on that with findings that the water drains off in pockets actually creating more friction.

Show evidence that the methods and conclusions of the published peer-reviewed study are inaccurate?

Oh, it's very accurate, they changed the observed temperatures to match the models. What's to question? Now, how about that ThinkProgress(ive dementia) article?

The image of what percentage of the W. A. I. S. is below sea level and how much of it is above sea level is a fact which should concern all of us..... which is why I am promoting a peace deal between Jordan and Israel that focuses on turning the deserts of Jordan green.......... because every cubic meter of ocean water that is desalinated will not end up on top of New Orleans, New Jersey, Florida, Bangladesh, The Nile Delta.... The Netherlands.... etc., etc.,

    http://www.politicalforum.com/relig...s-p-m-brokering-jordan-israel-peace-deal.html

    ......Canada's P. M. brokering Jordan - Israel peace deal?

Several years ago I was led to read a book again about a near death experiencer who was shown that Jordan and Israel would become like one nation…. I wonder if this is true and if it would be according to the will of God for this to happen soon?

    ….…
    …

My guess on the new colour for Jordan would be GREEN…. as Isaiah 35 is fulfilled and the deserts of Jordan would be turned green through a great increase in desalination of ocean water……. Not to mention the blessing of God!

    Here is the funny part.

The left actually think they can control global warming and stop all the ice from melting even though its happened at least six times in the past. This time they have the power to control Earth.

    lol

Technically it is Soufflé but I am impressed, most people can't even get the spelling right.

    Link?

Yes, there certainly is a reason. The EXTANT sea ice had the largest ice growth, and the scientists explain that this is actually a predicted symptom of climate change

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-09-22/antarctic-sea-ice-continues-to-expand/5760642
Link to the paper and it's relevance?

While the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is mostly below sea level, the East Antarctic Ice Sheet is above sea level.

Really? When did "the left" claim that? Did you get one too many (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) slaps at PH and had to come hide on PF where more people will circle jerk with you?

But..... these last several winters the snow cover on Greenlandcame late leaving the ice 'dirty' and much more vulnerable to absorption of heat from the sun....

Link? You do know that Antarctica is not the only place with ice shelves right?

Greenland has melted further during previous interglacials so it is not unusual. Also, it is greatly affected by the Jet Stream much like the US is colder than usual because of it.

I don't see anywhere in my article where the scientists said it was a complete surprise.

I do see that you failed to address what the scientist said. Why don't you try again.

You also failed to provide any sources for your various claimes.

So? What's your point if the issue is WAIS?

The last "interglacials" happened over thousands and thousands of years, this has happened in the last few decades.

    - - - Updated - - -

My point is that the WAIS is not the only ice shelf contributing to overall sea level rise.

But now it is all man made CO2. Gosh, what caused it before?

Nothing like making a claim like that after the models had predicted the opposite isn't it. All of a sudden it was supposed to happen when the models predicted the opposite. No, models did not predict the largest growth of Antarctic sea ice in measured history.

Again, I see you didn't actually address anything the scientist said nor did you provide any evidence of your claims

Natural temperature increases over thousands of years that occur due to tilting of the Earth's axis. These occur over a period of 41,000 years.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milankovitch_cycles

Now we are seeing warming due to the greenhouse effect.

You evidently have not been keeping up with the history of AGW. Dang, this is like shooting fish in a barrel.

    From the IPCC.

Go into a room with 50% co2 and see how long you last. Yes, plants need co2 but too much is not a good thing. But co2 is a gateway, which warms the earth enough to release the methane which is 20 times the Greenhouse gas that co2 is. but you don't care. you are ready to move inland to the mountains. and the poor shmucks who live in the lowlands can learn to breath water and methane.

I think you need to read your own bold section. That clearly says ARCTIC ice pack.

And you still didn't address what he said.
