The simple truth here is that Jeff seems to prefer Schultz. Looks like owning a paper of record can be beneficial to the owner when they want to pave the road to success for their pic for President.... Poor Fauxcahantus just got steam rolled by the Amazon team.

 

I said numerous times before and after the 2016 election that Hillary Clinton was about the only Democrats that could have possibly lost to Trump. I think Warren falls into that category for 2020.

Although nationwide Warren is a minus 13 when it comes to favorable/unfavorable rating. That means her unfavorable rating is 13 points higher than her favorable rating. She is also a minus 17 among independents. Nationwide Trump is a minus 17, but among independents he is only minus 13. early figures showing this would be a close race with Trump winning the independent vote. But probably not by enough to overcome the advantage of the larger Democratic base. If these two matched up in 2020, it would be what I call another anti election. An election where more people vote against a candidate than for one.

These figures are very early, one needs to note that 30% of all Americans are in the don't know, undecided column when it comes to Warren vs. only 2% with Trump. This means Warren's figures could change quite a bit. Either to the positive or negative whereas Trump's will remain just about where they are.

My own personal opinion, if the democrats want to beat Trump in 2020, Warren isn't the candidate to do it. That isn't saying she couldn't or won't win. It is saying she lets Trump back into the game where another 2016 is a distinct possibility.

Agree. The card itself says that the info won't be released. It really just shows that she believed that was her heritage from an early age.

This demonstrates the damage that Trump has done to America. You can't accept that a newspaper is interested in reporting the news. You discard the truth in favor of your unsupported opinion that there must be an ulterior motive.

I can't answer that myself so I suggest a flat tax is preferable to any arbitrary line drawing.

That said, I can't bring myself to say that everyone should pay 22%, INCLUDING MINIMUM WAGE earners. But again, where is the floor?

 

Everyone should pay, including welfare recipients. They too, should have a portion of the value of their benefits taken for taxes, just like payroll tax.

Everybody should have skin in the game.

A flat tax is the most fair of all taxation methods.

 

Total fail. Trump hasn't "undermined the truth", the MSM folks have done this to themselves, not the least of which is mr Bezos who has transformed his paper of record into his mouthpiece and megaphone and campaign office all rolled up in one obviously biased and obviously agenda driven publications of the day. Amazon has an agenda here. The WAPO is clearly choosing a side, and it's the side of its financial master. News? Why bother trying to undercut Warren? She's been their dog whistle for years now. She's "beloved" within the ultra liberal snobsters at the WAPO. And "suddenly" there is now this direction change, and we start to see that positive reporting and support for ms Warren erode, and now we're witnessing the kind of negativity normally reserved for those hated Republicans you so detest... And while it's fun to watch for sure. We must at least recognize this transition for what it truly is. Bezos hasn't been successful using his dog whistles, so now he wants America to get nostalgic for what he "believes" is the American comfort brand and mr Schultz.

 

History is going to look back on this as a period of yellow piss journalism.
