We should have an AG that promptly charges them when they commit felony injury or property damage.

Warren had this DNA test done by a very distinguished expert and made it public of her own initiative. It does indicate her claim of ethnic identity is very weak, I don't think it would justify preference in hiring, housing or education under any Affirmative Action scheme though it probably would suffice for a liberal academic institution seeking to boost its diversity credentials.

If this "big reveal" was Warren's rebuke to Trump as she launched her presidential campaign, I don't think it had that impact. My impression is that Warren's ethnic claim was a gross exaggeration and I'm confident this was an entirely self-interested effort to exploit endemic minority preference in academia. Warren comes off as dishonest.

Trump shouldn't derisively call her "Pocahontas", but Trump is not politically correct and doesn't have to be, in fact he is notoriously the opposite and people who support him would call Warren that for the same reasons Trump does.

Maybe the radical fringe will be upset, but I expect the message most will get is that "Resist" is not the answer, its time to try and compromise.

As a conservative I don't want compromise, I'd prefer we just walk right over all these critical lefties, trash their healthcare, do away with their environmental policies, fortify the border, curtail immigration, get rid of Affirmative Action, deregulate finance and industry, build more pipelines, reduce more taxes... But I know this can't be done without any consideration for the alternative view. There really are people (fools I think) who genuinely believe open borders would be a good thing, that no sacrifice is too great for preserving the environment, that free universal and unlimited healthcare is a human right, that we must roll back white privilege and deregulating anything leads to abuse.

These fools need to be taken into account, they can't be granted whatever they demand, but conservatives can offer them some of what they want in exchange for their cooperation on some things we want. I think critical lefties went overboard with this anti-Trump stuff, it isn't a winning strategy.

There are plenty of white people who are legitimate citizens of tribal nations.

If someone like that ran against Trump and was critical of him in any way, they'd get the same treatment even if they held a CDIB card right up to his face.

His views on race (which his supporters seem 100% behind) are as crass and unsophisticated as a movie with John Wayne chasing around a white guy in brown face pretending to be an Apache which is chronologically just about where the "again" belongs in MAGA.

Actually it was the Christmas card from Trump (which I received and you did not receive) which I introduced. You misspelled, "R"apture in your response. And why would I wish to, "change the subject," which has been 99% proven in my favor??? LOL! You seem really flustered, Mac-7!

The whole thing is absurd, but she both took the test (performed by the guy who wrote the book on what Trump wanted) AND proved to have a connection. Trump owes her favorite charity $1-MILLION$ Plain & Simple. BTW here's the entire quote from the Globe (it doesn't diminish the validity, only its degree): "The inherent imprecision of the six-page DNA analysis could provide fodder for Warren’s critics. If O.C. Sarah Smith were fully Native American, that would make Warren up to 1/32nd native. But the generational range based on the ancestor that the report identified suggests she’s between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American. The report notes there could be missed ancestors."

Yes her claim was the theater of the absurd and then to come out with this absurdity as if it proved it even more. The fact remains she did not comply with the stipulations of the bet which have been pointed our repeatedly to you so stop pretending she did. And no, no conclusion nor statement of fact could be made about whether she is a DIRECT descendent of any Native North American Indian or tribe. It's a very weak "suggestion" and suggestions are not proof.

    Let's keep in mind
"To recap, all the genealogical evidence, including Warren’s mother’s census records which reported her as White both before and after marriage, points to Elizabeth Warren having no Native American ancestry."

And the elopement because her mother was a Cherokee

"Warren’s parents were married in 1932 in a church not far from their home town by a respected and prominent pastor, who was unlikely to have performed ceremonies for runaways seeking to elope. The witness on the marriage certificate was a family friend of Warren’s mother, not some stranger rounded up by the pastor at the last minute for an unexpected elopement.

The young couple then immediately returned home where their marriage was announced in the local paper in a celebratory fashion, with extensive descriptions of the prominence of the two families in the local business community. Perhaps most important, the announcement mentions that the marriage was a surprise to many of the young couple’s friends, but said nothing about it being a surprise to family.

The marriage of Donald Herring and Miss Pauline Reed, two of Wetumka’s most popular young people, came as a surprise to many of their friend when they returned from Holdenville late Saturday afternoon and announced their marriage.

Both of the young people were reared in Wetumka and are popular members of the younger set.

Specifically as to Warren’s mother, the announcement detailed:

Mrs. Herring is the daughter of H.G. Reed, building contractor of this city, and has always been prominent in the social and church activities of the younger people and being a gifted singer has identified herself with the music lovers of the community.

The announcement then indicated that the couple are returning separately to their respective colleges for the next semester, and concluded:

The Gazette joins a host of friends in wishing for these young people a long and happy life together.

    Barnes correctly asks:

If Ms. Warren’s parents eloped due to her mother being “Cherokee and Delaware” and it was such a disgrace, why did they rush back to Wetumka the same day they were married and proudly announce it to everyone? If there was shame associated with the marriage and it caused so many problems, why was it happily announced in the local paper and why did the town seem to celebrate the marriage of the two popular young people? Though a surprise to their friends, the excitement and happiness that seemed to show in the announcement makes one think it may have been a small ceremony typical during the Great Depression.

The joyful marriage announcement is not consistent with the story told by Warren of a family torn apart because her mother was Native American.

Nor is later evidence uncovered by the Cherokee group showing that Warren’s mother was not rejected in the father’s family. Warren’s mother attended the 25th wedding anniversary party for Warren’s paternal grandparents in 1936, just four years after the supposed elopement.

Because the events took place in a time and place where there was scant documentation of life, and because all the persons with first-hand knowledge were long dead by the time Warren told the story publicly, we cannot know conclusively about the circumstances of Warren’s parents’ marriage.

But what we can know is that the dramatic story told by Warren is inconsistent with the wedding announcement in the local newspaper.

Read that joyous announcement and listen to Warren’s story telling, and then ask yourself whether you believe the local newspaper at the time or Elizabeth Warren today."

Still does not make them Amerindian.

What are Trump's views on race? As far as I am concerned he has, not even once, mentioned race . Trump has been the best POTUS for Aframs since forever.

I disagree with you, Bluesguy. I believe she did indeed comply admirably (even above and beyond). And do keep in mind, fat-boy-Trump thrives on the absurd! ;)

You can disagree but you can't change the facts, he clearly laid out the stipulations of the bet, a third party commercial testing company and the sample being taken in public and the test coming back saying she is in fact "Indian". She did not accept the bet, period. It is absurd she continues to claim she is Native American and a woman of color and a minority and suffers some victimhood in her life.

The moral of this story: Her DNA test does not prove she is a Cherokee, as she has previously claimed.

You're making my point for me. In this instance tribal law gets to decide not you.

Oh please. From the famous escalator speech to the crass tokenism of making Pocahontas jokes at a ceremony supposedly celebrating Native Veterans (that one made me want to vomit). If you can't see it, I can't show you.

I really doubt any Native American tribe would accept a White person as a member on the requirement that he proves he is 0.1024% Amerindian. :p

Is it racist to make "Pocahontas jokes" or to go down esclators?

No, it doesn't. It proves she is less Native American Indian than most European white people. The test also stated it could actually be Latin American (Mexican or Peruvian).

We do know for a fact that she lied about being a Cherokee Indian, that is for sure.

Let's not forget, she took advantage of college programs and tenure claiming she is Cherokee.

Cherokee, or not Cherokee. Less Native American, or more Native American. It doesn't matter. She proved via DNA testing that she has Native American heritage in her bloodline and that satisfies her requirements for victory. The lying-old-mysogenist-fat-man owes her favorite charity $1MILLION$. But since said oaf rarely fulfills a promise made, it is likely he won't keep this one either. So, quit setting your panties on fire.

If it weren't for, "dems," your old-lying-fat-man would never have won the electoral college. I'm a moderate Democrat who avidly supported Trump early on, until he revealed himself to have severe personality flaws. Enough to make him unfit for the Presidency IMHO. Many moderate Dem's did not realize that as early as I did. Hence he made it over the top. But you ought not bite the hand that feeds you. Without the Dems who DID vote for Trump he would not be our President today. You owe THEM your unbridled gratitude.
