Tell me exactly at what point in time was Trump supposed to do exactly what that would have changed anything and that his lacking to so is a crime and should be subject to some federal legislation.

 

The Speaker of the House and Majority Leader of the Senate are in charge at the Capitol with the Speaker being 3rd in line to the President carrying the higher authority. It is Pelslosi who ordered all the fencing and walls be erected around the Capitol and the NG troops stationed there after Jan 6 because that is HER JOB. The buck stopped with her.

Two things that I will share that IMO will prevent Garland from bringing charges. Concrete proof Trump was not interested in an insurrection, so this incitement crap is basically nonsense his haters, and the kangaroo court made up to advance their political agenda.

1) President Trump was clear to tell his rally goers to go up to the Capitol and make their voices heard, both patriotically and peacefully.

2) See Post #54 (hard proof Trump asked for the NG prior to 1/6 to maintain peaceful protests)

He's got nothing to charge him; he told his supporters to peaceful protest; he told them to go home. I doubt that any "witness" in the J6 fiasco could withstand a strong defense lawyer's criss examinations, nor the defense witnesses he could call.
