We just went over this. Obstruction of justice does not require stoppage of investigation.

    Google it.

You're assuming he was able to find someone willing to make that promise before the SP got appointed....im sure he tried lol
You need to look up what actually constitutes obstruction

Lol...Comey is old news. The latest revelation is that Russians hacked voting software firms in order to rig the election results.
Obstruction is the least of his crimes. This scandal just keeps snowballing, eh?

I'll bet world leaders especially Putin are reading this obsessive Washington **** day after day and shaking their heads in disbelief. What a time for the most powerful country on the planet to be dysfunctional.

Only in America. "Not attempting Obstruction doesn't mean it's NOT Obstruction! It just means he sucked at it". LOL. Remember, these are the same people who cried about "Lock her up". You can't make this crap up. American Politics is unique, to itself.

If he says there was no obstruction then what is the case?

Why is he going befote Congress to be vague? Either there was or there wasn't and being vague abd evasive can also get him in trouble for refusing to answer.

The case would still be obstructions. That is not his job to decide to recommend or pursue obstruction charges. His opinion is important and valued but it does not decide the matter. I also do not think that Comey is going to say that there was no obstruction. He is just going to stop short of saying that it occurred.

The report is that he stop short of saying obstruction occurred. It is incorrect to say then that he will say it did not occur.

If he does say that it did not occur and someone else decides that it did, it is incorrect to say that he committed perjury or obstruction because he is offering an opinion. You will not and can not be guilty of perjury or obstruction for offering an opinion.

He is a civilian. He has no prosecutorial job. And thus, it is incorrect to say that he has to prove obstruction occurred. He can state his opinion and should give his reason for thinking such, but that is not required nor does he have to prove it.

I think he is just going to give the facts. e.g. the dates he spoke with Trump, whether it was in person or on the phone, where they met, the time of day, what each of them said.
If the reports are to be believed he will not give his opinion on whether those circumstances amount to obstruction either way, or what his feelings were about those conversations. Just the bare facts.
It will be up to others to decide whether those circumstances amount to obstruction of justice.

Comey is an investigator, he is not a prosecutor or judge. He is also a skilled patriotic professional and he is patient. All virtues......:D. He will not say obstruction of justice but will pretty well lay out the grounds for it.

    Richard Nixon
In July 1974, the committee voted to bring three articles of impeachment against the president, including obstruction of justice, to the floor of the House. Nixon denied that his actions amounted to obstruction of justice.

Amid the committee’s investigation, the White House released subpoenaed recordings of conversations that revealed Nixon had taken part in his administration’s efforts to cover up its involvement in the break-in.

With his political support vanishing and facing a likely impeachment by Congress, Nixon announced his resignation on Aug. 8, 1974.

    Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton became the second American president to be impeached and he narrowly avoided his removal from office.

On Dec. 19, 1998, the House of Representatives impeached Clinton on the grounds of perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with an extramarital affair he had with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Two other articles of impeachment – a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power – failed to pass in the House.

The case went to trial in the Senate, which ultimately voted on Feb. 12, 1999, to acquit the president of the charges. Clinton remained in office.

Clinton was impeached and served out his terms. Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment and criminal charges. Trump falls into the second category but treason may also be in the cards so he will pardon a s**t ton of people as well. ;) nice try at distraction. Rogers, Cates & Comey will be hammering a few more nails in the Trump coffin this week........patience. Sometimes it takes years to bring down criminals.

Why don't you detail it out. Libby was convicted of perjury for allegedly lying to the FBI.

There was no distraction on my part. I answered a question that was asked here. I'm bored with all the conspiracy theories. I have yet to see anyone produce anything illegal that President Trump has done during his campaign or since. If you think Comey is going to incriminate himself, you are dreaming. Rogers has also already testified. Nothing there.

The investigation didn't miss a beat. There was no obstruction of justice in the firing.

The investigation has not been stopped or negatively affected in any way. There is no obstruction of justice.

He'll be specific about what he was told but vague in his assessment of it.

The Senate intelligence committee will be examining FISA, and intelligence leaks TODAY. It's already been proven that the FBI illegally shared raw, unredacted intel. If Comey is named as the responsible party, he'll have to post bail before he can testify.
