Good luck with that feeble attempt to trash Comey's good name even before he says a word today .

Comey destroyed his own reputation and credibility a year ago. Neither I or Trump had anything to do with it. You perhaps choose to ignore Comeys prosecutorial misconduct in the Clinton investigation, I do not.

 

There was bipartisan agreement that Comey should be fired. He lost his good name last summer as you point out.

 

And today, Comey laid out the entire case for "obstruction of justice"...........he took it as a directive to drop the Flynn criminal case. Now, it is just a matter of time for Mueller to bring the house down.

 

Advantage Democrat. Mueller was Comeys mentor, and colleague for several years. I'm sure Mueller believes Comey is an absolute fountain of truth. Sadly, the ambiguity of "hope" leaves way to much to the imagination. In questiong Comey explained that the POTUS can at will simply end an investigation if he so chooses. Without imput from the FBI, and without communication with the FBI. No need to ask Comey, no need to fire Comey. Simple as that.

 

What's the source for that ?? It certainly did not come from Comey's testimony today or written comments submitted yesterday.

The real losers are Loretta Lynch and the MSM - particularly the NYT.

 

In cynical style, Comey tried to throw everyone under the bus while portrayimg himself as the boy scout being bullied by the big kids. Hard to believe that of someone who has spent decades in the Washington big leagues. The tires marks landed on:

1. The Media; especially the NYT. He said that many anti-Trump stories were wrong.
2. Trump; for daring to criticize of his performance as FBI director. Comey called him a liar--not surprising an ex-employee would say that about the boss. He forgot to include half of Congress (including Schumer and Pelosi) which called for his head months ago.
3. Loretta Lynch; she will be forced to admit pressuring Comey's Hillary investigation, or call him a liar too.
4. Himself; for admitting he leaked government docs to the NYT. You can bet the FBI will be checking that law professor's phone records going back years. Comey blew his credibility.

 

Comey buried Trump and Sessions......Session is now deeper in the barrel. Comey laid out clearly the case for obstruction of justice and abuse of power under oath. All the duck are lining up, Mueller is on it along with the renowned criminal lawyer that just joined his team.
