I gave the email example because that would be a clear, prosecutable case if this were a law. Pundit said “A” on the air. Pundit admits privately in an email they knew they were lying on the air. Many cases would be hard to prosecute, but at least the possibility of prosecution could lead to more accountability.

The government's job is national security and making sure social media is aware and isn't unknowingly being used to desiminate foreign active measures propaganda and interfere in an election. The internet info of Hunter's laptop did not come from the FBI prior to the 2020 Trump election arse trouncing. It came for people with no credibility and no reason to have that info as to it's veracity or it's chain of custody was never verified. You are desperate to flog your B/S regarding chain of custody. It's disingenious but expected from hyper partisans that have had their critical thinking stolen from them sadly.

To the topic, the government's job is national security and to prevent foreign actors executing active measures on the American population, especially during an election cycle where that foreign actor has a preference for a candidate. That should seriously worry any serious American. Deal with it.
