So, can we finally admit that people are the problem and not guns? Should we ban hands?

Here's the deal. The culture has broken down because of the Left's social revolution. It has led to decay. The states have responded to the people's wishes and allowed almost universal CCW carry across the nation. Overall, legal defensive firearms have suppressed violent crime even in tough economic times. Criminals do not fear the state and its warehousing and 20+ year delayed death penalty. They do fear the immediate threat of an armed citizen shooting them.

But, in the big blue urban areas where CCW permits are largely banned, the criminals are running rampant and shootings are off the charts. So, why do liberals still blame guns?
Because they will not accept to the fact that their ideology has caused more problems than it has solved. It is an evolutionary dead end.

Does that include weapons used by Law Enforcement? Or only weapons owned by civilians?

Well, Obamanomics has caused police layoffs, so I would say there are less armed police on the streets than a decade ago, but many, many more CCW holders.

<<< Mod Edit: Flamebait >>> Just because hammers/clubs kill more people than rifles doesn't make a case that we shouldn't ban rifles. I'm not saying I want to ban all rifles, just pointing out the insanity of such an argument.

So what logical reason should there be to ban the less dangerous of weapons, especially when you don't need a license to carry one of them in public and they can be bought anywhere for very little? The insanity is perspective. Certain people simply don't have it.

Why not? If rifles are less dangerous than hands, then why is there a need to ban them? Why not ban deadly hammers and knives, if the Left is really concerned about saving lives? Hell, prescription drugs are much more likely to kill, but liberals make a big deal out of the threat of a gun in the home.

Speaking of insane, let's look at the Clinton era assault weapon ban. It banned hi-cap magazines. So, what's stopping a guy from buying 8 10 round mags? He can reload in a second and tape the mags together. It's useless.

And, why ban bayonet lugs? Ever heard of a drive-by bayoneting in LA? Banning a flash suppressor? Why? The M-16 look makes it more deadly??? Really?

Oh, and ban the pistol grip? Why? The rifle still shoots. See, the Left is insane and emotional. They literally tried to ban the scary look of the rifle. Why??

Wow...I bet grenades kill fewer than all of those combined...I guess that means they should be legal....

And again, isn't Canada and all those other European countries examples of socialist scum whose lib policies are causing decay? Except one would have to add up all of the democracies in socialist Europe, Canada and Australia; and throw in Japan just for fun to come even close to the gun violence rate of the United States.

And you think access to guns isn't part of the problem? You think throwing more guns into an already trigger happy society is the answer?

You might want to look at the suicide rate in Japan before you use them as an example.......

Liberals didn't ban pistol grips or bayonet holders, per se. They described those characteristics to ban the weapons that were currently on the market. Gun manufactures quickly re-created those weapons without the offending equipment on them. The NRA kept liberals from creating a meaningful ban.

I think the hammer analogy is ridiculous. Mass murders are not performed with hammers, large clips account for most of those. There was another attack on a grade school the same day as Sandy Hook. There were 21 victims and they all survived. It was in China and the assailant was using a knife.

Whooping cough probably isn't beating homicide in Chicago, Detroit, Philly, or any other large Democrat-controlled cities.

Not every firearm is commonly referred to as a rifle.
