Talk about arguing over semantics. You're now trying to differentiate between 'already hired' and 'to hire' to make your point FOX didn't lie?

 

Your the one that brought it up. Fox said they were "to hire" which they likely would have if the 'Tailoring Rule' hadn't stopped them, so where's the lie?

Yeah, the number of employees they would have to hire if it weren't for the Tailor Rule. But for some reason, you think they're still going to hire that many agents (more than Homeland) over time.

 

Yes, it was a lie. It could have been easily avoided if FOX News read the report first, instead of going off what far right wing radio host said. It's not as if the EPA released the report a paragraph at a time.

 

Where's the lie? Classic. How about the part where FOX News (in the video from the link) said the EPA is going to hire 230,000 EPA agents. That's not true. They aren't hiring any, because the Tailor Rule prevented it from being necessary.

 

They said they were "going" to hire, Whether the Tailor Rule prevented it is irrelevant. They never said they did which would be a lie. This is what happens when you ge information from crapola propaganda sources. Your argument works in the opposite direction with Media Morons.

Huh? There's a massive report (which you even posted) that details how and where the 230,000 jobs were saved form the Tailor Rule. Your 2-7 years was thrown out of thin air.

That's not correct at all. That was the estimated number of employees that would have been needed if it weren't for the Tailor Rule. FOX should read before they talk.

Every new regulation requires hiring add'l agents. It was the GOVT who stated the figure 230,000. Maybe it's actually only gonna be 1,000 new agents... who cares?

The point is, they're growing the govt by passing new regulations in massive volumes. Not just the EPA, EVERY regulatory agency is hard at work to protect us from ourselves.

Because that is the number THEY originally put out. Pretty simple really. They will increase who they regulate over the years until everyone is taxed...which will require that many employee's.

They threw that figure out there to show how many government jobs the Tailor Rule prevented from being created. How that number will still come to fruition is just random (and biased) speculation on your part.
