Covid is dangerous and frightening, certainly. It kills a very small percentage, just the same. Rational people would take the measures one can take and go on with life as much as possible. Not America. It has become a matter of faith; one either shutters everything and prohibits "freedom" or one does nothing and flaunts a childish concept of "freedom". And, those who disagree with the side we have chosen are the embodiment of "evil!!!".
No wonder there are no valid leaders in U.S. politics. "Valid" wouldn't be recognized.
