Woodward said that he would only release the tapes if the participants agreed. And yes, the book includes the quotes from the recordings. But those written about are denying they said it. Sooooo...if they are being truthful in their denials, then it would be in their best interests to ask Woodward to PROVE the quotes with released tapes. But they haven't demanded or asked for that...which waters down their denials significantly.

 

If somone like you, ML, are working at BK, who cares? But . . . we are talking about POTUS and the man who holds it now, who is absolutely unfit to hold it, the man who wants an authoritarian state with him at the head of it.

Those who were taped can claim they were lied about and ask Woodward to release the tapes.

But the members won't ask that, as you well know.

 

They don't need to ask Woodward a damn thing.

Woodward needs to put up or shut up and publicize the recordings to save his credibility.

Woodward has offered the tapes publicly. No one has responded. I would think that they would want the country to HEAR proof that they did not say what was written.

The sources are named throughout the book, along with their quotes. That's why they have been issuing denials for the past week or more...because they are saying that they did not say what was written. So - if that were me - I would be asking BW to prove they were my words with the tapes.
