Where I live, we get a daily dose of statistics from our county. Here is a case summary for today of those FULLY vaccinated:
Fully Vaccinated Population: 490,255
Total Fully Vaccinated Cases: 1,333
Rate of Infection Among Fully Vaccinated: 0.27%
Fully Vaccinated Cases in the last 14 Days: 125
Fully Vaccinated Cases percent of all 14 Day Cases: 5%
Total Fully Vaccinated Deaths: 11
Total Fully Vaccinated Deaths Rates of Fully Vaccinated: 0.002244%
Total Fully Vaccinated Hospitalizations: 83
Rate of Hospitalization Among Fully Vaccinated Population: 0.017%

Yet, our medical tyrant leader is mandating mask wearing inside again. Both Moderna and Phizer both said that the protection rate would be between 85% and 95%. Even in the last 14 day period, 5% is well within the prediction. The vaccines are working.

Airbags work. Bet you still wear your seatbelt. So mask up because surviving this mutation with a vaccine that was designed for the last one doesn't mean the same will apply to the next one. So unless we mask up and quell transmission the spread continues and the likelihood of spawning a resistant variant remains at maximum potential.

 

You need to go to college and learn some science. You are wrong on all accounts. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever that masks stop the spread of Covid19. None, Nada... And, I'm from an era that at one time the law did not require seatbelts to be worn. Of course, I could wear one without a mask. So, the equivalent is just not there. If you want to wear a mask, go for it. I'm not stopping you looking like a science fool. Just don't force it on me.

This is where we disagree.

It is proven over and over that mask wearing slows the spread of aerosols, esp. in closed places, ergo, masks provide effective protection up to a certain point. And that protection is essential.

 

That is why Tony wears 5 or 6 masks. If one works great, 5 or 6 work even greater, right?

 

The only snake oil salesman are those science deniers that won't believe the science, like you. The medical fraud cases have nothing to do with Moderna nor do they have to do with the Pfizer Covid19 vaccine. As the survey from our county is showing, the vaccines are doing exactly what they said they would. And, those that are being infected today are 99% unvaccinated who fear their own shadows but are willing to get sick and die from Covid19.

 

Proven where? Someone in this forum gave me a list of about 50 studies and all of them have nothing to do with cloth masks that all of the general public are wearing. The one article I commented on actually showed that masks help some with droplet spreaders, but not aerosol spreaders like Covid19. So, no, there is no proof. And, you provided us with nothing, again.

 

Try looking at FAU's test of cloth masks on the distance AEROSOL spreads with mask vs. no mask. (3 feet as apposed two 12 feet).
Pure physics shows that the distance would have to be reduced just from particles hitting the fibers of the mask (more fibers, more
disturbed travel path). So I don't know where you get in information, but physics say you have to be wrong about NO
help from masks.

 

I've found its usually futile asking an anti-masker to look at anything technical. Because they're going into it convinced they're right and you're wrong, all they end up doing is picking a sentence or two and misinterpreting what it means.

 

Absolutely no reason at all this cant be the case. There is no prohibitive reason we cant wear masks for prolonged periods (sorry spreadnecks but 'muh rights' doesn't qualify). And if we committed to an extended period of nation wide mask mandating then manufacturers like 3M would probably commit to expanding production so that every American could have supply of n95s thus further edging out this virus.

You have no link to the so-called study? Actually, apparently some people have no clue on how small these viruses are. They can't imagine the viruses so small that the fibers are basically not there and pass right on through the fibers. But, I'd be interested in this 51st study...

 

This would actually unsupported by any data. When we get vaccinated, we do not give details on our political affiliations. So, how do you come to your conclusions? What CNN or MSNBC says? They wouldn't have those numbers either. Here is what I think we could say. Trump was the President that paved and cleared the way for the vaccines to be made and ready for distribution about 4 or 5 years faster than if a Democrat President would have done it like Biden or Clinton. The reason is simple too. It's called "regulations." Trump got rid of them so the drug companies could compete and get them invented and made in just a few months. That was Trump that did it. So, wouldn't it also be logical to reason that Trump supporters would be the most likely to get vaccinated in support of Trump? I would reason that it would be. Remember, Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer and the Democrat media all said they would not get the vaccine because Trump got it done. Now, they lied, as usual and got the vaccines. But, their followers aren't so smart and up to date on reality and the games Democrat Politicians and election officials play.

Another reason why I say you are incorrect is that surveys and polling have shown that people who are Black and Hispanic are not getting vaccinated nearly as much as people who are white. Only 22% of people who are Black are vaccinated. Most of them in the big cities that vote primarily for Democrats. 42% of people who identify as Hispanic are vaccinated and most of them are also Democrat voters. Therefore, I'd again have to disagree with your unsubstantiated belief that it's Trump supporters mostly are not getting vaccinated.

Actually, I'm quoting the liberal politicians and bureaucrats for our county that are liberal, democrats and literally crazy. They do not follow the science. There are no studies done that prove cloth masks work against the aerosol covid19 virus. None, nada. Therefore, it's your opinion that is pseudo science, isn't it. The statistics support the claims from the two companies and the CDC also supports their claims. Parroting the mainstream media like CNN and MSNBC is not science. It's insanity that leads to Biden that leads to U.S. soldiers being killed in Afghanistan.
