The original aspirations and ideals of the early Zionists were worthy. Unfortunately, that changed the moment the Zionist movement became a colonialist project. This has particular relevance to the current phase of offensive Israeli violence. The fact that the Zionist movement is a colonialist movement, is the historical subtext that is totally ignored by anyone involved in the so-called peace process from 1949 through to the present day. The latest phase of Israeli ethnic cleansing of Palestinian's must be seen in its correct historical context that began with Plan D.

The BBC isn't even in the top 10 worldwide.

No, we don't defend aggressors who violate the Geneva Convention.

Yes but not defending the people who the violations were done to is pretty much the same thing.

in short the UN does nothing to stop Hamas and only gets outraged when Israel acts to defend itself.

So not doing anything is pretty much the same as supporting the violators.

It's not the same thing. Who voted us as the world's police force. That's why we all pay into the UN. It's their problem.

I agree the BBC is a joke but probably not in the way you think.

    But Hamas aren't the aggressors.

Sure they are, who's shooting 11,000 rockets at their neighbors?

Um, you've got it all upside down and back to front in classic Orwellian fashion and therefore present an inversion of the truth. Hamas are the Palestinian nationalist resistance movement against Israeli occupation, aggression and illegal expansionism. The clue is in the name. No occupation=No resistance to occupation.

They can call themselves the Free Range Fecal Brains if they want, they are still firing thousands of rockets at their neighbors. No one really cares how bad they get pounded into the ground when the attempt to kill civilians.

I am only stating what is, not what should be. Hamas is never going to stop attacking Israelis until they are all dead. Unfortunately for Hamas and the innocent people caught in the carnage, Israel is too powerful for them to do anything. (The what is part)
Perhaps if we had a stronger President, Israel would back off but sorry we don't. The only thing that is going to help children from being killed is Hamas to roll over, if they don't this is going to get far worse. (The what is part again)
I think they both need to work things out in a manner that doesn't involve bloodshed of little children. (The what should be part)

Yeah again, it doesn't matter. What matters is what Israel thinks. What they see is the two main suspects still at large being given safe haven by "someone". Looks to me like they are willing to bomb until "someone" understands not to kill Israelis under any circumstance.
