We all know that foreign policy is the main function of the President. He alone dictates foreign policy and decides the course the country will take. He is also most responsible for our national security and the security of our forces and personel overseas. The current presumptive Democrat nominee is of course Hillary Clinton. We all know of her screaming Benghazi didn't matter. Now let's look at her take on Syria and Assad

And how about the former Secretary of State who wants to become President?
"CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday drew a contrast between Syrian President Bashir Assad and his late father and predecessor, and said U.S. lawmakers who recently have visited Damascus regarded him as a “reformer.”

She made the startling comment while explaining why the United States will not intervene on behalf of Syrian civilians revolting against the regime as it has done in the case of Libya. - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/syrian-president-assad-regarded-reformer-clinton-says#sthash.ggb1785n.dpuf"

"Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the U.S. won’t enter into the internal conflict in Syria the way it has in Libya.

“No,” Clinton said, when asked on the CBS “Face the Nation” program if the U.S. would intervene in Syria’s unrest. Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad’s security forces clashed with protesters in several cities yesterday after his promises of freedoms and pay increases failed to prevent dissent from spreading across the country.

Clinton said the elements that led to intervention in Libya — international condemnation, an Arab League call for action, a United Nations Security Council resolution — are “not going to happen” with Syria, in part because members of the U.S. Congress from both parties say they believe Assad is “a reformer.”

That is mistaken view, that erroneous position is what has helped to make such a mess out this quickly deteriorating situation.

Why on earth would we elect her to be PRESIDENT and totally in charge when she was such a failure as SecState??? Hasn't she disqualified herself?

Not particularly. The situation has changed a lot since she said that. First of all the Syrian resistance has proven remarkable durable despite aggressive action by the Syrian government to crush it. The Lybian engagement has been largely resolved freeing up the resources. The Egytians are out of the picture and absorbed in their own turmoil, and Syria's big friend Russia just gave us the finger on turning over an intelligence asset that our government wants very badly to get their hands on. Also the Europeans are in now.

Considering all this Syria would look like a tempting flexing opportunity now a days.

    You are doubting the quotes?

"Hillary Clinton assad reformer" pulls up lots of cites.

So what about her position on the matter as SecState.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes it has gotten worse because in part to her and Obama's mistaken view of Assad.

Though many criticize Hillary for her tenure as the SOS, none who actually understand the job have done so. The peanut gallery seems bent on spitting from the back seat but this likely has more to do with fear than actual reasoning. Unless the Republican Party manages to bring forth someone better than her...they are right to be fearful.

I do not particularly like Hillary, or the thought of her running my country...but it seems thus far she is as good as we will get to choose from.

I don't particularly like Hillary, either, but I do like the fact that she sends wingers into apoplectic fits.

I gotta admit that I get pretty much the same way at the mention of Palin or Bachmann. I can understand their plight. Doesn't mean that I am not going to thoroughly enjoy the trouncing Hillary is about to deliver.

It looks as if the GOP's angry white guys, unable to find anyone with the requisite experience and acumen needed to lead the nation that they could support, will divert their frustration into a dung-flinging gala directed at the next President.

    Now that's a seamless transition!

    Has Hillary disqualified herself?

Why? Was she born in Canada or something?

    What difference does it make?

Let's see if she's a good candidate. She laughs about our killing of human beings, she antagonizes the global community with threats and hypocritical finger wagging, she lies about pretty much everything, she dodges questions like a pro etc. I'd say she ticks all the boxes for what we like in a president.

Don't worry though. She may not make it that far. There's Bosnian snipers after her.

No, she said something a couple of years ago that may have been wrong......given another couple of years, they are hoping this will generate incredible outrage and sweep Eric Cantor into the white house....

I'm not your hand holder, are you disputing them?

Why would you support her as President? Did you agree with her on the Iraq war?

Actually it seems most have and those who do express approval of her tenure can't point to any major successes.

It is the ones who fear who will vote for her those with reasoning would never do so.

What is good about her, give a reason to vote FOR her.

If that is the best the Democrats can come up with, again why would anyone vote FOR her? She has never been successful of any note in anything she has tried to accomplish from being first lady of Arkansas, first lady of the country, her tenure as Senator was quite unremarkable and her role as SecState has proven to be a disaster.

    - - - Updated - - -

And that is a reason to elect her President?

And that is the criteria the left uses to elect a President, how sad, how absurd.

Still no reasons to vote FOR her I see.
