He is flat out telling us we should not be taking this seriously and most of the epidemiologists are saying that is totally wrong. There is no need for panic but we should be taking measures and we should be taking them now.

Most of us don't even know whether we should or shouldn't be wearing medical masks. Trump should be telling us that not going on about how this will die off once it gets warm

You don't need government to tell you about masks. The surgeons wear their masks to protect the patient on the operating table from the surgeon's sneezes and coughs and exhales. It only protects the surgeons from blood spurts.

I'm going to wear the cheap little single elastic strap masks used by construction workers -- not to protect me -- but to protect everybody else if I happen to sneeze. The H95 doesn't work any better for protecting the wearer.

The H95 is, of course, a little shy bit better than nothing, like a construction mask. But if you can draw breathing air through it you can draw virus through it.

 

What measures should he take? What would you like him to do that the experts are telling him to do that he is not doing?

He is not saying we should not be taking this serious, he was taking action on it weeks before a Dem said a word about it. And he was called a racist for doing that. He has been taking a number of different actions since.

It's up to rather you wear a mask or not, no need for a POTUS to decide that for you. Everything I've seen from experts (including the govt CDC) is not to wear a mask.
